I made some shaker cards at Stamp and Scrapbook Expo but they were Queen and Co. so they had the templates all cut. I want to make my own but not sure what type of foam tape to use and where the best buy deal is.

I just use 3M double sided tape. I buy the BIG roll from Amazon. You can cut it in the width you need. Or double it up for more shaker bits. 3M Tape Amazon
Here is link the for the BIG roll

When using foam tape to make a shaker space, run a Qtip dipped in talcum powder along the edges to remove any stickiness from the sides of the tape. It will stop your beads, sequins, etc., from getting caught.

I just use the 3m tape as well - the large roll same as GiantsFan. However, I never bother with the talcum/corn starch trick and my shaker cards seem to work ok.

I use the 3m tape, too. It'll yellow over time, though, so don't hold back on it! I had a roll that got lost in a move. When I found it, it's still sticky, but I save it for cards that need a lot of support in the middle, and use my fresh (white) roll on edges where it can be seen.

I use the 3M also. You can cut it into thin strips to go around a circle.

Be careful. I did this as well and it is thinner and does not tear easily....need to use scissors to cut and it leaves them gummy I won’t buy this again

I buy the giant 3m roll and double it for shaker cards. I use cornstarch in my little powder tool (the ek success one with the brush tip) for the sticky edges (I dumped out the weird-smelling stuff that came in it and put plain baby cornstarch in it).

I got myself some of these Adhesive foam sheets from Paper Wishes. You can diecut your shape through paper with the foam right behind it. No spaces for anything to leak out. Love the q tip idea!

I agree it’s thinner and doesn’t tear, but I haven’t had an issue with my scissors. I have no idea what brand they are, I bought them at Tuesday Morning and they said they were non-stick.
