I looked for a thread and didn’t see one with the new preview. I’m so glad Frank is back! Can’t wait to see if Hildi reels it in this go or if she still does crazy stuff.

Thanks for the link. I am so excited for this show to come on again. I wish some of the other older decorating shows would come back on.

I'm so excited! I bet it will be evwn better than before, too.
And I definitely think Hildi will have reeled it in. Trading Spaces was the pioneer and birth of design shows in my opinion, that and Christopher Lowel. I think with how much home design has inundated the TV networks, there's different standards now.
I think we will see things like chalk paint, distressing, etc. in lieu of hay, lol.

Weirdly enough, as crazy as Hildi was, we used a couple of her ideas in our last house. I know one was the 12 X 12 birch thin plywood, with the grain alternating. It was amazing on the wall. I forget the other one.
Can’t wait to see the updated version.

I'm excited to see the return of this show. I well remember the old one and watched it every week loving some of the re-do's except for the really crazy one's like the infamous hay on the wall episode. I can't wait to see what they come up with in this new updated version.

Wasn't that the homeowner that didn't drink alcohol? SaveSave

I was certain they would be having all new people. So glad to see the OG returning. Aghhh... Hildi and Doug. I personally don't think they will be reeling it in. People tune in to see what they are going to do next.

I watched every episode and there were far more good design ideas than crazy ones. Looking forward to the return of the show.

Thanks for sharing!
I love the first run of this show.
Here's to hay glued on walls and people's fireplaces getting painted, when that's not what they want! lol

Can't wait for this. There are very few decorating shows on any more. The worst room Hildy ever did was stapling all the silk flowers to that bathroom wall. I think it was the bathroom. They did some clever things on that show though. I just remember the disasters better.

Yay - I am excited for this show to return. Hoping for normal design and not outlandish stuff. Doug did some pretty stupid colors and designs too sometimes, especially towards the end. I think they all just got bored with doing normal stuff and decided to do something wacky...And then when people started talking about it ratings probably went up and I can imagine the producers told Hildi to just run with her ideas for the ratings.
ETA: I am so excited Lori is coming back! So many of the original crew…SO excited!!!

I am looking forward to seeing this again too! I think I would have rather had the hay on my walls than the giant portrait Hildi did of herself in dots or something one time.

Oh my, I didn't remember most of those rooms but they were pretty bad. I did remember the woman crying. I would have cried too. Peamac I don't know if the silk flower one is online but it is the show I remember the most as it was hideous.

Yay! I’m excited to see the reboot! I loved TS back in the day. I wouldn’t let Hildi or Doug decorate the inside of my toilet though! Hildi had some really bad rooms but to me her worst was the cardboard room. She used liquid nails to cover all the walls in cardboard. There’s no way to undo that! She ruined every inch of sheet rock in that room. And then made furniture out of cardboard too. I truly hope she gets reined in this time. I looked and can’t find a video of that room anywhere I see references to it but zero pictures.
