Just hoping for an update.
I think this was an outpatient surgery, so hoping you are home resting and recovering from a tremendously successful procedure.

Thank you all~ this is he first time I'm sitting up since Thursday, so I'll keep it brief. My surgeon did it!! She got the ENTIRE old orbital implant out (43 silicone beads) + she was able to get the BB out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have had faith in her, since she created a tool to retrieve BB's. She gave it to DH as a reminder (she usually keeps the BB's she's retrieved jar as a reminder of how many she's gotten out!
The surgery was just over 6 hours. We didn't plan for that but she wanted to get everything out, and she did it! Then she took a big fat graft from my lower tummy (seems ok for now) and implanted that. This is the most pain I've had in my life. I've been in bed since I got home Thur evening, just moaning and trying to keep my head/chest raised.
Thank you all for thinking of me. After this initial pain subsides, I should be done with the awful migraines, et. We'll see! I'm just happy that she got all of that old crap out!
Back to bed...... Thanks again!!

Wow! Great news and awesome surgeon!
I know you are hurting now, but if this has great long term effects, I'm sure you'll look back on the recovery period as well worth it.

WOW! That is fantastic news, unbelievable! I'm so happy she got it all out. I'm so relieved for you. Continuing to keep you in my thoughts that after this recovery pain is gone that you will be living the good life. You can make if through this, this is bearable because the end is near and because of all the years of pain you've endured. You've got this.
