I like mine but I rarely use it because DH and I share a pot of coffee from our coffee maker in the morning. I make an aeropress latte on special occasions.

I love it and it makes fantastic coffee, especially with fresh finely-ground beans. Any old coffee tastes better done with the aeropress, though.

Love ours, we have had one for two or so years. Last year when our Kurieg died we didn’t replace it. I find the aero press takes about the same amount of time to make coffee and it tastes much better.

It works, it makes GREAT coffee (so my DH says - I can't have any coffee these days...stupid blood pressure ) but...it goes through a LOT of coffee per cup. Don't know if he's doing it wrong or what, he merely mentioned that it was really going through the grounds.

It can't really *not* work, add ground coffee and boiling water, then filter. Not much to go wrong there.
I got mine instead of a coffee machine, I don't like espresso coffee much I prefer filter coffee, but there is so much coffee now available in pod form that I wanted to try I love flavoured coffees). So I got the aeropress, I use it a little differently than the instructions. I cut open one coffee pod/capsule and add it to a small thermos, than I pour in one cup of boiling water and let it sit for about 5 mins. Then I pour it into the aeropress to filter...results in one perfect long black coffee made from pods with no machine needed. You can add the coffee straight to the areopress and add the water, but I find it filters a little too quickly & it's a bit weak which is why I let it sit in the thermos for a few minutes first.

As MizIndependent said, you will go through a lot of coffee - I used two scoops for every cup I make. I don't know how the price would compare to buying K-cups but the difference in taste makes it completely worth it. Seriously, the BEST cup of coffee. I can't recommend it enough.
ETA* Like many users, I make my coffee upside down. The instructions have you putting on the filter, placing the Aeropress on the cup, putting in the coffee, then the water and then pressing. I put the plunger on the counter rubber side up, place the other half on top, put in my coffee and water, then put the filter on top, wait 30 seconds to 2 minutes, then flip the whole thing over onto the mug and press. It stops the whole filtering while brewing issue.

It looks small enough to be used in a dorm room with an electric kettle ( which he got for Hanukkah ) DS mentioned it so now that it’s got so many thumbs up from peas it’s in my list for Easter. It’ll be better than candy for him.
I’ll mention the upside down brewing idea thanks!

I had never heard of these until this post. I've wanted a way to make one cup of coffee, but don't want to have a regular coffee maker and a Keurig as well. I watched a couple youtube videos and I think this will be perfect for me. I ordered one today and am excited to get it.

My husband doesn't drink coffee so it's just me, and I only drink a few cups a week. So this is a great way for me to have a really good cup of coffee and enjoy it when I do! It's also really handy to have an electric kettle to heat up the water quickly. I turn it off just as it comes to a boil, which seems to be a good temp for coffee.
