In May, I am taking 4 girls to the Taylor Swift concert at Century Link. I am not attending the concert. It will be 2 17yo's and 2 14yo's. I am looking at hotels and I am not finding anything within walking distance and google isn't helping me find hotels that are on the light rail line other than at Sea Tac. I am not opposed to staying as far south as Sea Tac but was kind of hoping to avoid going that far south (I am coming from Spokane). I just know there is no way I could find them if I drove to them in my car. And I don't think they could find the light rail on their own to meet me at a station. So I am thinking that we will light rail in and I will go with them to the venue and drop them off and then meet them at the same place after the concert and light rail back together. I obviously don't want anyone to get lost in the after the concert mess. I've done the light rail numerous times and know how it works so I am not worried about getting us to the stations I just don't think the girls would be able to navigate it on their own.
So...Any hotel recs for me? Either in Sea Tac area or even north a bit? I'd like to stay under $250 for the hotel. I've looked at a couple AirBnB's but not sure of the areas. How is Beacon Hill?
Thanks!

My daughter and her friend had no problem with the light rail.
Let text the mom to see where they stayed.

Definitely do the light rail. We went to the last TS concert at Century Link, parked in a garage right by the stadium and took us 2 hours to get out of the garage after the concert!
Why not stay in Bellevue (tons of places there), drive into Seattle via 520 and park at Pacific Place (they have reasonable parking rates), grab dinner at Pacific Place or surrounding area and take the light rail to the stadium and back. I think meeting up with your kids after the concert shouldn’t be too tough. Pretty easy to pick a spot outside of tne north/end zone area. It was very well light and a respectable crowd too.

or try the university district.. and take a bus to downtown.. easy peasy.. coming back take the light rail out to the stadium at the university and transfer to a bus to take you near hotel or just do an uber..
it is north of the floating bridges... lots of good places to eat.

I agree - take the light rail. Sea-Tac has tons of hotels that also have shuttles or are close enough that uber would be cheap. We've stayed at quite a few right there and haven't had a bad one. But, I find eating in Sea-Tac difficult. If you'll have your car, not a big deal, just eat at the mall (SouthSound area has lots of restaurants.)

There is the Silver Cloud Hotel right at the baseball stadium. I found a rate quoted of $139. Hope this helps!

The silver cloud is nice...new and great little restaurant in there. If you do opt for the Sea Tac area, I’ve stayed at the Hilton airport location. It was fine.
If you opt to stay in Bellevue, the Embassy Suites is nice.

Thanks everyone. I looked at the Silver Cloud but they don't have any availability for my date. We usually stay in Bellevue when we head to Seattle but I haven't ever taken the light rail from there so didn't know if that was an option. I think I'm leaning towards staying in SeaTac. After dropping them off maybe I'll head north to the mall to waste time. I'll have to check to see if maybe Mariners will be in town that night, I could go to the game, lol. Lots of options.

Bellevue is working on light rail but doesn’t have it yet. There are lots of buses to get to Seattle although after a certain time at night it can be tricky getting back across the lake. Hopefully, the Mariner’s are not playing the same night as the concert...that would be a total nightmare for traffic and parking! :-)

It took us 2 hours to get out of the parking garage at the last Taylor Swift concert. And we had a 2.5 hour drive home on top of that. My cousin took a light rail to her hotel somewhere downtown Seattle and was in her room 15 minutes after the concert ended. Jen

Ok, your options for hotels on the light rail are limited to SeaTac, the Silver Cloud Inn next to the stadiums, downtown, or the Silver Cloud Inn on Capitol Hill. There should be places downtown at less than $250 a night!
As far as Beacon Hill goes, it's not the nicest of neighborhoods. That said, if you can find a nice AirBnB near that light rail stop I'd go for it if all you're coming in for is the concert. There is a lot of new building going on in that area. Just be mindful and have a sense of purpose walking at night (as should be anywhere actually).
