I was just browsing around the internet while listening to CNN, and getting depressed about trump. Then I came across this little video about a Costco cashier who looks like Maui from the movie "Moana". Well, I don't have a video to share but last night whilst driving down a small country road DD and I encountered a small deer crossing in front of us. I slowed right down waiting for the bigger deer to follow having assumed I was looking at a baby. But no, this small beautiful animal was the Mum. We spotted the smallest deer I have ever seen in the grass having crossed the road before Mum. As I drove slowly forward I caught a glimpse of them climbing over the ridge, lit by the dusky light, with the Mum looking down at her baby checking it was coping with the ridge. So cute.

I got a job! We moved in mid-December and I was dragging my feet about job hunting because I wasn't thrilled about leaving my old job or my amazing beach paradise. But the opportunity that my husband got was too good to pass up. So 2 weeks ago I finally peeked at some job sites and sent my resume off to one. They called me back that afternoon! I had my interview last week and got hired yesterday! I am still in shock. I have been pretty grumpy the last few weeks and probably a little depressed but this is for sure a bright spot!

This came up in my fb feed this morning. It’s so precious. Big sister is singing with her mostly nonverbal brother. He’s learning to speak through song. This was mom’s fb post: “My daughter Lydia was watching Bo while I was in the shower. Came out to this. If she didn’t have a guitar I don’t know if she would know how to babysit him. This is her go to. It’s proof that music therapy works. Bo is 25 months old and has a 12 word vocabulary. Every word he has learned has been through music and singing.” |
