He is. 93. He has done many, many things for Foster. Children with Winshape Homes. 12 children live in the home with Foster parents. There are several all over the South. There are other good things he has done with the money he has made.
I know his views may not be popular with many but he has done some remarkable things with his wealth.

Not everyone has the same views on life. We are human after all. We can choose what we feel is correct and what is not. We should not be put down because we don't believe what a majority or minority believe.
May he go peacefully and may his family remember all the good times and know he will be in the arms of Jesus waiting for his family to be together once again some day.

Just imagine the changes he's seen in his lifetime. Pretty incredible. And while I never agreed with his take on the whole gay marriage thing, I respect his right to his own opinion. I think the reporter somewhat sabotage people sometimes.
I'm gonna interview a well known conservative Christian and ask them their view on gay marriage and have it blow up on them when they give the answer I expected.
ETA: I guess the controversial comments were made by his son.

I hope he either passes peacefully or recovers. I may not agree with his beliefs, but I wish no ill will toward the man.
ETA, I thought the CEO'S name was Dan Cathy. Is this his father?

Freecharlie, she said he is the founder, not the CO; so his son probably took over the business.

Ah, then I assume he would have the same beliefs as he raised the son, but I am not sure.
So I will just hope for the peaceful passing when it is time

I wish him peace at this time. I've met him, went to a Christian School and although my beliefs do not align with his, it doesn't affect my hope for a peaceful passing.
Very engaging man at his old age when we met. Charismatic on stage.

He has had a long, active and fruitful life. I hope he isn't in pain. I suspect he is very ready for his passing to come.

He passed already. While I don't agree with their company's actions I hope their family has peace.

He really was a remarkable man and it's a shame that some people will only remember him for remarks that were made by his son.

Since he is local to me there were many clips on the news about him.today. I am so impressed with his love and help for foster children. He was very hands on with all the Winshape houses he built for kids. I've read so many stories of his generosity in so many ways. He would pop in for a visit , always where kids were involved, and give out vouchers for free meals or bring chicken sandwiches to pass out.
He was such a family man and his grandchildren talked about Saturdays at the farm and how wonderful it was.
He will be missed.
