That's a first!!! Either I am not paying close enough attention to the peas lately or the peas are slipping. Not really a political thread I'm just commenting about how shocked I am to have heard a political jab elsewhere first. But if you even care what it was I heard I put it in the spoiler so this can remain not a political thread. In fact I think that whatever 'press' is taking about this is making out of it than it really is, but don't they always. I heard the personalities on the radio station I listen to on my way to work talking about Pres Obama's comment about how he did not consider the optics of going golfing immediately after speaking about how terrible/horrible James Foley's beheading was. And this station is not usually political or anti Obama but they went on and on about how poor of an excuse this was.

Then you're just not reading enough Peas! Because I did see it on here. Not first, because I read the Washington Post before I read the Peas, but I read it very quickly after!!!

Darn job taking too much peaing time LOL. I knew it would happen sooner or later. I just surprised me since we have a cast of people to pick up on the slightest thing from either side I almost always read it here first. LOL.

What does "the optics" mean? Is it intended to mean "the way it looks?" I've never heard that word used like this.
