heroarts.com/pages/mmh-february-2018-kitIt is up now. It feels like they were trying to recreate the idea of the Safari kit that was such a huge hit, but I don't think it works. I don't think it's awful and it's back to being a really good value (huge stamp and die sets) but I don't see myself using it. I don't dislike it, but it's definitely a card maker's kit...whereas the safari one works for me for PL, too.

i like some of it but not all of it. Thirty-five dies is a lot for those stamps, but not enough to make me purchase it.

I almost want to buy it because I bet I could make some really cute CAS cards in a pinch and it truly is a good value. I could see stamping out one of those birds with the thanks stamp perched on a piece of ribbon, cardstock or a simple border stamp and having it look really nice.
I also just noticed there is a 'you are one cool chick' stamp...but there isn't a chicken. There also isn't a 'gull' so the puns there seem kind of strange, lol.

okay, so i cancelled my sub but they emailed me and told me i was still getting the feb kit. Now that i see the whole thing, it's not AWFUL, but there are much better birds out there. Sigh. I might sell it.

Overall a bit boring. Just lots of silhouettes of random birds, sentiments all basically the same size. There's a die for the egg, not a stamp so you can't easily add shading or interest. Same with the feathers - just a shape with no definition. Definitely not something I'd buy.

and while i do make a lot of cards i prefer animals that i can color in, rather than solid ones.

That is a lot of birds that should have fancy backgrounds with nothing to create said backgrounds. Glad to see there is a die for the branches though. I've never felt like I've needed an add on to make the kit work, but I think I need something just not sure what. Maybe a stencil or two and that large bird branches die

I'll be the odd one out - I rather like it...not sure I would use it enough to justify the price but it's definitely my style.

If they had done layered bird stamps, people would have gone crazy for it. There are SO MANY birds, and then there are more with the add-ons. Who can use that many birds? Half the number of birds, but each with several layers -- now that I would buy.

ETA It feels to me like not much effort went into the kit stamps and dies - basic silhouette design of random 50 birds - done! Not like Altenew, Papertrey Ink, Concord & 9th etc who really put a lot of thought into their stamps/dies.

I wasn’t a fan of the sneak peeks but I really like what Jennifer McGuire did with it. Love the colors and the technique. I’m actually on the fence about ordering it.
