If you don't want to invest in a SC 9x12 album and hole punch your fused pages, you can cut down a 12x12 chipboard album. I think Marcy Penner was the first one to do this. She has directions on her blog.

I love 9x12. I still scrapbook mainly 12x12 but for special projects(vacations, all about ME) I use 9x12. Like everyone else, I just wish there was more availability...

I’m on my second year of project life in a 9x12. It was an adjustment from 12x12 as you need to be a bit more selective with photos, but size wise I love the look of it and find it much less cumbersome. (As a side note- I have started printing small softcover photobooks for events, otherwise I wouldn’t get a year in my album. I love how they turn out though and I can use all my photos). I’ve just emailed WRMK asking too. I’m in Australia and it’s really expensive to get SC album and protectors shipped here. Oh and if you have a fuse, trim down BH design A on the left side (so you cut the holes off) but leave enough to make a new hole section. Then you can punch 4 holes and not have 3 already there.

Another 9x12 fan here! Perfect size and they fit perfectly on my shelf. (After 20 years of scrapbooking, I don't have room for any more 12x12 albums - they take up too much room!) Come on craft industry and focus on 9x12 albums!

Another question. For those of you who love and have been using the 9x12, can you give me an idea of about how many PPs fit in one album? ( anniefb , QueSeraSera , Skellinton and everyone else!!) I tend to have moderately "flat" pages - some embellishments but not a ton.

I think I’m on about page 27 in the album I’m working on at the moment and it’s not full yet. Some of those pages have Ali Edwards acrylic words on them, which are not super flat.

I don't think I could make the switch. The scrapbooking industry is barely hanging on and SC is the only option right now. Remember when Stacy Julian had different colors for her categories? Now it's impossible to find some colors in the more popular 12x12.
I've been scrapping since 1995 and exclusively did 8.5x11. I switched to 12x12 albums a few years ago for family albums only. I use divided sheet protectors, so it's still scrapping in small areas. My life is boring and random, so this solution works for me. I don't want to take the time to make an entire page about most things anymore.

I did not read the other responses so if I repeat, I apologize. I scrap 8.5x11. I can always find albums and page protectors. 9x12 is only an inch teller and a half inch wider. I rarely see anything in 9x12 so I would not switch to that to gain so little real estate and drive myself crazy trying to find page protectors and albums.

I will use 9x12 albums as long as they are available because I love the size and the extra 14.5 square inches is a huge plus for me. If they are not available any longer I will go back to 8.5x11, but I see no reason no to use the 9x12 now because they *might* go away.

Financially, too. Also for no stress finding PP. But compared to the 12x12, I love the 9x12. It is such a good happy medium. I even love holding the album. It's so perfect!

It is actually quite a bit more real estate then you would think. It is an extra 14.5 square inches. Add to that you can fit 3 landscape or 2 portrait size photos without trimming and that is huge for me. I hated trying to fit 3 photos down the page without trimming. I don’t drive myself crazy trying to find them, I know exactly where they are, I just hate that it is only at SC! Frankly I have a harder time finding WRmK 8.5 x11 albums since our Ms and Js don’t carry them. Cost is an issue, but I like them enough that I feel it is worth it. i had no idea I would like this size this much, I just knew I hate 12x12 and for a vacation album I wanted to do something where I could fit more photos with less trimming and once I tried it I don’t want to go back, I will if the 9x12 goes away though, I just don’t want to have too.
