I was going to ask the same thing! It may be a copyright thing that she couldn't use the exact word? The word Manic isn’t copyrighted plus I don’t think you can really copyright song titles or phrases in song lyrics. Plus she isn’t pairing them together. If it were the correct word, the word “manic” is separate and not used together with the word Monday to complete the phrase. Plus she has never let copyrights/trademarks/intellectual property stop her before (for example the very popular Potterhead stamp). Based on her record...I’m pretty sure this is a misspelling.

Well, there are days that I might need a ‘Maniac whatever weekday’ stamp after some if the days I have at work. But I still think I’d get much more use from manic. Because nearly every Monday is ‘manic’ as it’s my longest commute just to start off.
I did not opt to buy that stamp due to cost though not because I noticed a misspelling. It was just too pricey for me at the time since I have other weekday stamps. While this set was a little different it wasn’t different enough to justify the cost from my ‘budget’ ( I’m trying out a budget for myself )

I gotta say, I may be reading way too much into this...but it seems, to me, she may have meant manic and misspelled it (as is common with KP). I assumed the same, but I was planning to just do a little stamp surgery as necessary. I wish the word "taco" was there. It works with every day of the week!

I just got my order. I haven’t seen this mentioned and this may be me assuming she meant something different For the phrases: There is “I’m in love” which comes from The Cure song “Friday I’m in love”. One of the main reasons I bought this set. I had assumed that a couple of the other phrases came from Manic Monday by the Bangles. It's just another manic Monday I wish it was Sunday 'Cause that's my fun day Except KP’s stamp doesn’t say Manic...it says Maniac. I gotta say, I may be reading way too much into this...but it seems, to me, she may have meant manic and misspelled it (as is common with KP). I thought about this as well when I got the stamp! But I didn’t understand why SUNNY was necessarily on there either, and I didn’t realize I’M IN LOVE was there until you pointed it out.

I bought that stamp set and didn’t notice.....Maniac seems like an odd choice if it’s intentional.

I opened my kit last night and does anyone else think the cards are MUCH lighter in weight compared to her usual monthly kit cards?

I opened my kit last night and does anyone else think the cards are MUCH lighter in weight compared to her usual monthly kit cards? Holiday kit cards? Yes. I bought the b/w kit and then the cards/papers only from the colored kit. I'm thinking it was the colored cards that felt really light and thin but I'll have to double check when I get home later on. It was VERY noticeable!

And those were the most expensive kits as well. Are the (larger) papers ok? We need Detective nicolep on the case, pronto. It's making me wonder whether those who use printers that source paper from China will be switching to a thinner cardstock due to the new tariffs. I believe the Ali Edwards thread also had people mentioning thinning cards this week.

I actually thought this too when I was going through the kit, but I was at my desk with the other kit and they were the same when I put one in each hand and tried to bend them around. I even tried a paper from last year. I mean, it could be thinner, it's not like I'm using a super scientific method or anything. After my little test, I wasn't concerned enough to e-mail KP, but maybe someone else has a better way to check. I really won't know how they are until I'm working on the kit though.. you know? Like, the writing on and adhesive, etc.

Like, the writing on and adhesive, etc. Well, I just pulled both the b/w and color cards out and did the same as you. To me, the b/w cards feels thinner and lighter than the color but after putting each of them on the scale (lol!) they weigh the same for what that's worth. Honestly don't think my kitchen scale is a worthy means of weighing these lol. I then got an older KP card from the Hometown kit and it certainly feels heavier and thicker but weighs the same on my absolute scientific pocket card scale. 😂 Same for an SC card and the SC is DEFINITELY thicker and heavier. I don't care what my scale says. I'm getting down to business. I'm taking a sample of all of these cards out to our dry lab at work tomorrow. I work in the custom adhesive coating industry and am going to have them measure the thickness of each card. Just for fun! They can even measure the coat weight if there's been any type of adhesive or coating applied. The thickest and nicest cards to me are by far are SC. Investigation to continue...
