I have an Epson Workforce 7510 wide format printer that I can't for the life of me get to print 12x12 borderless prints. I've created a 12x12 preset page with all margins at 0 and choose borderless printing, but every single time I try to print out my 12x12 page, I get a 1/4" white border around the entire page! I'm on a Mac with the latest operating system, printer driver is up to date and I'm printing from Photoshop Elements 13. I've had this printer for quite a while and never been able to get it to work. In fact it seems to be an issue with many printers out there. I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue and been able to find a fix?

Are you trying to print on a 12x12 piece of paper? I think this is one of the reasons I started buying the 13x19 photo paper, because I couldn't figure out how to get a borderless 12x12 photo either (on my epson artisan 1430 wide-format).

Yes, I'm trying to print a background on a 12x12 piece of white cardstock. I've even tried sending it to the printer from the Silhouette software thinking that may make a difference, but I get the same 1/4" border! Very frustrating!

I have a suggestion but I have typed it 3x only to try and fix a typo and end up clicking away and losing the text. I will try again when on my computer. Ffs.

Ok... looking forward to your suggestion... I've spent hours trying to figure this out, wasted many sheets of paper and more ink than I'd care to admit. At the end of the day it seems to me that all that needs to happen is that Epson - or any company that makes wide-format printers - needs to create a preset for borderless 12x12 paper. Simple. Problem solved right? There are a lot of scrapbookers buying wide format printers to be able to print 12x12 borderless layouts. And at the end of the day, really even if there aren't that many people using 12x12 papers, is it really too much to ask to create that preset? Some techie over at Epson can probably do it in a matter of minutes with his/her eyes closed! Throw me a bone!

Alright, so I don't have a wide format printer and my knowledge is based purely on PC's, not apple products. My suggestion, good or not, is to see how your computer is seeing what you are printing. For it to have that border, I can only presume that it is being treated as a document instead of a photo. You can choose borderless printing when you print a photo, but documents (or even pictures) in programs like word will always have that border because it isn't being seen as a photograph.
If you right click on what you want to print, and choose print, usually a 'print photo' program opens. From there, you can choose the size, the type of paper, the quality (draft, normal, high quality), black and white, etc. That way, you aren't opening what you're aiming to print in another program. I'm not sure what file extensions this works with, but it works with jpegs for sure. You can open the file in something like paint and save it as a jpeg, png's might work as well. Files ending in .doc definitely won't work (it will open the file and print is as a document instead).
I don't know if that is helpful, but that is the only way I print things I want to have treated like a photo. It is either built into the OS or part of my printer software (I have no idea for sure which because one of the first things I install on any new computer is my printer drivers).

Thanks scrapaddict702. I am actually printing a jpeg and have tried it in Photoshop Elements and the Silhouette software. I came across something that said if you create a custom size, and 12x12 is a custom size, you can’t print without a border. For some silly reason that option isn’t available-it’s greyed out. I honestly think that if Epson creates a 12x12 custom size the problem is solved because it becomes a preset and then borderless printing is available. With all the people out there creating projects at that size, it’s kind of hard to believe it doesn’t exist as a preset. Come on Epson... fix your software!

Have you tried using broderless printing and the photo printing quality setting together? Some printers have a border by default and unfortunately we can't do anything about it. It is quite annoying, I learned this as I have a Brother Laser printer that I use exclusively for foiling, and after wasting so much paper and countless hours, I gave up and now I just work around that stupid 0.16 inches border left and right when I do something on my computer. My other printer which is the Cannon MG7520 has a borderless print option and it really works well for when you want to print pictures or other things that require to print the full page. I honestly hate my Brother printer because of this, but it seems to be a standard setting in many printers and I'm afraid of buying a new one and discovering it has the same problem.

I had a wide format Epson printer years ago when they very first came out and was never able to print 12x12 borderless on 12x12 paper so it’s not a new problem.

I honestly hate my Brother printer because of this, but it seems to be a standard setting in many printers and I'm afraid of buying a new one and discovering it has the same problem. So here is the issue. My printer WILL print borderless prints in all of these sizes: 3.5x5, 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16:9, A3, A4, 13x19, 11x17, 8.5x11, 8.5x14, PRC32K (Huh?), Postcard, SuperB/A3 (Again, huh?), Tabloid... If I wanted to print without a border at any of these sizes in ANY program, no trouble. And I'm also given the option of creating a custom size. Brilliant, right? Wrong because the borderless option is not available when you create a custom size... WTF? Really? Yeah, really, I've researched this and it turns out that you can create whatever custom size paper you want, but you cannot print borderless with custom sizes. Obviously a flaw in the software. I've even made the custom size 12.25x12.25 thinking that would work... nope... still get that 1/16" white border around the page. It seems to me that a lot of scrapbookers bought wide format printers to be able to print their 12x12 layouts at home, so why not have 12x12 as a custom size. I really think that all it would take is the techies over at Epson (or Brother or Canon or any printer company) to create the size in the software and BINGO, problem solved. I've sent Epson an email asking how I can print a borderless 12x12 print and suggesting that they make 12x12 a paper size from the drop down menu. Can't be that difficult... and I doubt very much that I am the first person to ask! But for now it seems that the only way around this is to just accept the border around my 12x12 page, find a way to cover it up or trim it off and make it slightly smaller than a true 12x12.
