Well, the insulation and walls are up, and a/c has been installed in the concrete block wall.....our handyman tells me it is time to pick the paint color for my craft room!!!!!! So excited! I went way too muted last time, and want something bright and happy. My son's room is painted a gorgeous deep orange, similar to the link below and i am leaning that way. Can you share with me pics of your favorite bright colored craft rooms? goo.gl/images/GmXP3n

Congratulations on your new space! For a craft room, I suggest the ultimate bright color: white. It's modern, the ideal background for your colorful supplies & completed pages/projects, & doesn't alter/cast color onto your projects. Best wishes...

I went with a soft creamy beige with taupe undertones as I wanted it to feel bright even on cloudy days..

Yep, I went neutral as well - Coconut white but it looks more beige to me.

Mine is lime green and I wouldn’t have it any other way. To get the color I wanted I found a piece of cardstock I really liked and had the paint color matched. When I was picking it up there were quite a few people at the paint counter and when the person opened the can to show me the color several people audibly gasped! It is bright, but I love it. Keeps me awake, makes me happy and looks good with my furniture which is mostly white, although my desk is a pretty light grey.
I like the orange you linked above as well. I like bright colors in a creative space.

I like a nice Tiffany blue as well, especially since you already have an orange room, the color of the actual room I linked above is really pretty. There are a ton on Pinterest, but mostly the links take you to other crap. So frustrating.

I went neutral with mine. The color is SW Taupe Tone and I added my own pops of color. Five years later and I still love it.

When I look at your color all I can think is WOW! As you can see by my photo I like orange. If you like it then go for it. Personally I would do one wall in the bright happy color and the other walls a neutral that coordinate. DH picked my craft room colors because I am horrible about that sort of thing. One wall (the solid wall with no doors or windows) is Ancient Copper and the other three are Navajo White, with the Suisse Coffee trim. My furniture is the Black-Brown Kallax/Expedit from IKEA. The colored wall is actually darker, than the link. I have a 4x5 window that gets afternoon sun, so it's not dark. I have a very light beige love seat and I found the perfect coordinating pillow with beige, rusty orange and dark brown that works perfectly. I even found a sewing box with those same colors.

That is EXACTLY the color I want for my craft room. It feels very calming to me. Do you happen to know the exact name and brand? For some reason it feels cloud-like to me.

I had a dark sage green in my last house. In this house, that room is Mose scrap storage and computer/printer, but it will eventually be that same color with cream and burnt orange accents.
Have fun in your new room!

Mine is a light aqua and I love it. Here's a pic from instagram. That is EXACTLY the color I want for my craft room. It feels very calming to me. Do you happen to know the exact name and brand? For some reason it feels cloud-like to me. It's Sherwin Williams Retiring Blue. We also used it in the kids' bathroom, the kitchen and the dining area. I love it. It's very calming. Here's where I got my original inspiration: houseofturquoise.com/2013/07/sabrina-alfin-interiors-3.html

THANK YOU so much!!! I had this shade in my bedroom two houses ago, and I really wanted to use for my craft room. I think it is light and airy.

. One wall (the solid wall with no doors or windows) is Ancient Copper and the other three are Navajo White, with the Suisse Coffee trim. This is right up my alley. I had a wall in my dining/kitchen 2 houses/states ago that was almost that same color and the other walls were more caramel/beige.

My dream craft room is bright and airy. White walls, light wood floor, and mostly white furniture with touches of black as an accent. I'd love Eames chairs (or a look alike) and textures added in like a furry rug. Accessories would be a fun nod to mid century modern. My boring answer is white!

I love those floors. My son (special needs) has bubbleicious from Ace hardware in his room and it looks close to that color! I was going for calm.

i am off to home depot this weekend and will gather some swatches, ladies--thank you for all the ideas. Right now, the room is a disaster zone, but with insulation and ac going in and walls going up, i think it will actually be useble in the hot florida summer (it's the third car part of a three car garage that we're redoing for me--i'd used it in the winter but it is too hot from May to October to work in there). The handyman put in windows too! I don't have a ton of stuff like many of you ladies, but i bet over time i will fill up the room

I love that orange! It is very close to the orange in our bedroom- however we only used it as a feature alongside antique white walls. My scrapbook room is quite small so I also painted it antique white- with matching blinds and light furniture. However, I chose a beautiful lime/avocado green for my feature wall and use green for a lot of my storage items.

Personally I like bright blue colors that remind me of the ocean. That’s my zen spot.

That is really pretty! I want my next job to be the person who comes up with names for paint colors.
