Pick a time and go with it. I don't get why we need to change. Stay DST if that works. Stay ST if that works. Pick a time and leave it alone.

I hate time changes. When we lived in Hawaii there was no daylight savings and it was wonderful.

I am definitely ok with losing an hour just to have more daylight hours in the evening. Not to mention I am off work the beginning of next week, so a few more days to adjust. Bring it on!!!!

I don't see it as losing an hour of sleep (and I LOVE me some sleep), but as GAINING daylight in the evening. I look forward to this day starting the day we move our clocks back in November. ETA: If we could stay on Daylight Time all year round (the Spring FORWARD time) I would be all for not switching. But my understanding is if you don't switch clocks you fall back to Standard time all year round and that I'm not OK with. I don't like dark at 4:45pm in the winter.

I'm too focused on the incoming Nor'easter to even be thinking about daylight savings!

I love having longer evenings. It really gets to me when we fall back esp in the winter. Nights are so long as it's dark when I go to work and dark when I come home.

One of the few perks of living in Arizona....no time change!

I'm actually indifferent to it. The time change, both forward and backwards, is annoying but I never feel the effects of it past the day of and that's usually only if I don't remember to change the all of the clocks before bed.
I would like to stick with one time all the time simply because remembering to change clocks is an annoyance. I don't feel off or sluggish or anything else from the change. Maybe I'm an oddity?

Yes I am! I don't care about losing an hour, I am so looking forward to having an extra hour of daylight at the end of the day! Yesssssss (and you have the perfect name to appreciate this extra sunlight!)

I despise spring DST coming in the middle of a weekend. Now take it off my workday on Friday and I'll be happy. Fall DST can go ahead and give me the extra hour on the weekend.

I love spring forward! The losing an hour of sleep doesn't bother me! I have 3 kids, so I have had many nights I lost sleep! And I often stay up late and get less sleep. So it's no problem. So excited! I didn't know anyone disliked DST until I read it on a thread here. I did tease my daughter (freshman in college on spring break this week) that she loses an hour of spring break!

I’m ready. Oklahoma is actually voting soon to stay on DST year round. Ok, I will tell my husband and we may want to move to OK! We love DST! My husband suffers from SAD and living in the second dreariest city in the country (Pittsburgh) doesn't help. He has been excited for this day since we set the clocks back in the fall. We don't work on Sunday, so we don't even lose an hour of sleep! No problem for us! Although I would love DST all year, with switching, each "side" gets it the way they like it for part of the year (I hope that makes sense!).

Several studies have shown negative effects (physical and emotional) from the time change that I'm surprised we are still doing it. They say you should try to gradually adjust over a few days if possible by changing your alarm wakeup time.

They are introducing a bill to the Florida Governor this week to keep the state of Florida on DST year round!

Can't wait! I love having extra daylight after work/school so I can hit the trails again on weekday evenings. The transition never bothers me. I'd be fine if we just stayed on DST year round. I forgot that I will also enjoy being able to come home and walk my dog at night in the daylight! Yes! I agree! Our family is so much more energetic when we spring forward! When we fall back in Nov., we just sit on the sofa all grumpy and lazy. With DST, and it's daylight longer into the evening, we go for walks, get stuff done around the house, run errands, (lose weight because we are more energetic!) and sleep so much better because we are more active. When we change our clocks back in Nov., I need the peas that love less daylight to give me a pep talk on how the earlier darkness is good so I can try to see it their way for those months and not be so grumpy and lazy in the fall/winter months.

No, I am the same! I don't have a set time to go to bed/get up, so losing an hour is nothing for me. There are many nights I lose an hour of sleep, and it doesn't bother me. I have three kids and it never bothered them either. Although we do get so lazy when it gets dark so early in the fall!

And Monday morning is the precise reason why I hate losing an hour. It was hard falling asleep last night and waking up this morning. This is going to be me at work today .
