I watch very few videos. Mostly Jennifer McGuire or Laura Bassen for techniques for card making. I just don't have the patience to sit and watch someone scrap and talk.

Every time these discussions pop up the number of YTers I subscribe to increases. 😄

I try to keep mine between 8-15 minutes and change it up between single and multi photo layouts. I do double page occasionally, but a lot of the time (especially when scrapping my own childhood) I only have one photo to use.
I do like longer videos when I am washing dishes or working out on the treadmill. It makes the time go by faster!

I don't need videos for layouts, photos are fine. I can layer paper and embellishments without a walk through. I do watch videos on techniques for making mini albums and stamping. If it is a process video with specific measurements required it would be REALLY nice if those measurements would be written down or included in a blog post. Having to rewatch over and over to catch measurements is tedious. Haul videos and album flip throughs are fun, but I need them 5 minutes or less. And please, please, please if you make videos do not make me watch your animated hands on your work surface while you talk and talk. I want to see the product/album/card first thing and get to your point.

I usually skip ahead multiple times in long process videos. Certain people (not naming names) whose work I like and who to tend to make longer videos have very soothing voices and I will nod right off. I don't need a lot of explanation, just inspiration. As an example, I would say that Victoria Marie has the perfect type and length of videos for me. She gives some of her thought process, speeds things up so we don't have to watch every moment in real time, and voila. I like album flips too, though again, I don't need a lot of exposition. I just want to see the pages. I agree. I simply don't get much time to watch YouTube videos, although I wish I did. I've taken notes from various videos on how to make journals, albums, etc., and even some product videos. I've learned so much from YouTube - but I do prefer the shorter process videos. As stated above, some people get carried away with their explanations. Some things may be important when you're talking about them, but chances are, not as important as you may think. Short, sweet, and to-the-point. Perfect!!
