I think I’m going to give Copics a try. Can I use a coupon on them at HL or M’s? Or where’s the best place to buy them?
What else might I need to know?

Yes, you can use a coupon on them at both places.

I'm fairly new to Copics. I buy them at scrapbookpal.com. They're $5.24 each and free shipping at $25.00. Check out Sandy Allnocks blog. She has a great class on using Copics and color mixing.
There are blending packs of three colors that work together. You could get a few of those using a coupon and see if it's something you want to continue collecting.

The best price I've found is either oozak.com or stamps alive on Facebook. Stamps alive seems to have a better selection and superior customer service.

merriartist.com They have them for $5.24, but if you order $100 you get an additional 10% off. Free shipping after $90. They are such nice people and they ship same day unless your order is after their pickup time. I happened upon them by chance and am so glad I did. I've been able to complete my set through them. My hobby lobby would be more expensive even with the coupon and they don't carry all the colors like The Merri Artist does.

MarkerPop.com also sells individuals for $5.24. I got an email today with a coupon code of EXTRA8 for an additional 8% discount good through Friday, Mar. 16th. HTH.

I love Oozak for my Copics! I'll have to check out the other places people have mentioned here though.

I've decided to go with the Ciao's myself, they are at least $2 cheaper than the sketch and the only difference is the amount of ink in them.

i get mine at carpediemmarkers.com LOVE them, get them fast, and free shipping after $35. And they're only $4.99 each. Basically, every two to four weeks, i fill up my cart to JUST over 35, and am building my stash fairly quickly. And don't forget to buy Sandy Allnock's Hex Chart--it's a MUST and helped me decide which markers to get.

I would not buy them with a coupon at the local craft stores, unless you happen to be right there, anyway. The gas to get there will cost you more than you save. If you find a coupon that can be applied to all of your regular priced purchase, though, it might be worth it.
I may have to check out some of the recommended sites here. I could use a few more colors.

Michael's has a 30% off your entire regular priced purchase for today only. It would be perfect for Copics.

michaels and sss, even with the sale, still don't beat carpediemmarkers.com.
