I loved the episode where he taught an acting class and taught them the "smell the fart" face.

I loved the episode where he taught an acting class and taught them the "smell the fart" face. Lol..he was just on Graham Norton last week and they talked about that! Graham asked Matt if he used it in any real life acting and Matt said “like right now?” Lol

JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!! And I think my all time favourite? When Phoebe is teaching him French, and resorts to one syllable at a time "Je" "ma" "pelle" - and then get faster and then she says it all in a row and he says 'wee poo poo"

They get a good chuckle out of Joey and are reassured they're MUCH better at French than he is! LOL!

Okay, so true confession: when "Friends" was on, my older kids were babies and I just never caught it. Never watched one episode. Now it's on in reruns all the time and that show is freaking FUNNY. Especially Joey. I feel like I just got on a boat I totally missed 20 years ago, lol.

I've been laughing my way through this whole thread. My husband and I refer to the "trifle" episode a lot. "Peas, good. Meat, good. Jam, gooood." And also "It tastes like FEET," which is Ross's line, but makes us laugh all the time. Also when Joey puts Little Women in the freezer.

I'm almost envious of you...I can't bring myself to watch the re-runs because it makes me sad...because I miss so many things about that time in my life (mid-to-late-20s). My husband often says he'd like to re-watch Friends with me, and I just can't do it. It's weird because Seinfeld is no problem, but Friends makes me unbearably sad. Go figure!

I know exactly what you mean. But my dh knows when I'm watching it because if he's not in the room, he can hear me laughing out loud. OMG - the one with Ross and his couch? "Pivot!" I was dying! Now I'm like: "Oh, so THIS is what everyone was talking about!"

My oldest is a little younger than your kids (at least a couple of them) and when I was pregnant Friends was both on weekly and reruns every night on fox. Dh was in night school so I watched a LOT of Friends back then. After ds was born he would stop crying and look around any time he heard the theme song.....he remembered from all those night of listening in utero, lol.

Every time there is a rumor about a reunion of Friends, I naively believe it. I know it isn't going to turn out true, but just for a moment I allow my hopes to soar. I miss this show. My 3 girls love to watch it and have watched it a couple times on Netflix.
I will say, I could probably skip the first season though. I enjoyed it the first time around, now parts of it are like nails on chalkboard. Monica is so whiny.

It's like the writers took her over-the-top control issues/cleaning etc. and made her a million times worse. She became a caricature and I hated it. I loved the Monica in the earlier seasons. She was much more relatable!

Matt LeBlanc has aged well. Mmmhmmm... Have any of you all watched Episodes on Netflix? He plays "Matt LeBlanc"... I totally loved watching it. He was so good in it. It was originally a Showtime series, but you can catch it on Netflix now. I was sad when it was over.

I had just given birth via c section to my son. I made DH pay 18.00 for the day for the tv so I could watch it. It was on an 8 inch screen but I bawled through the whole thing. I still cry. Lol

Dear Lord, she was awful. I was so disappointed they put her with Chandler.

I know exactly what you mean. It makes me remember getting divorced, buying my own house, getting a pizza every Thursday night and grading homework in front of the television. I was lonely and happy and depressed and peaceful. Such a weird time and that show brings all those feelings back. Weird.

Now I know what to binge watch this weekend on Netflix!! DO! I am seriously laughing out loud a lot, which is rare for me. I had forgotten how many celebrities and famous singers were on--Chris Isaak was on, Chrissie Hynde, Tom Selleck. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It has aged really well. I love seeing the "old" technology of the phones, answering machines, the old computers. I'm in the middle of season 2 at the moment. I had also forgotten how years ago, a season of TV was like 22 to 25 episodes. Almost unheard of, now!

I have never seen an entire episode of this show. I tried watching it one time when it was on tv and the blonde girl was singing about a stinky cat. I thought it was awful and never put it on again. Maybe I’ll try it again though.
