Oh my! The listing says the house was built in 1951 and is Colonial style. For the life of me, I can't find the "colonial" in that house anywhere! I am pretty sure that the living room was Liberace's version of heaven though! Very light, bright and ethereal! I expect to see angels hiding in the corners! Not sure how one can actually use the toilet in the blue floral bathroom though. There is a giant plastic butterfly perched on the lid! So much in that house - so much color, so much pattern, so much stuff! I did like the cool graphics on the storage doors in the garage, as well as on the backside of the garage door. Those were pretty cool. It would be interesting to meet the person who lived there, to find out what their 'vision' was that led to this end result.

The owners are taking all that "stuff" and for stuff I mean sh!t with them are they not when they move. It might just need some paint.

The price includes everything. The home is $292 per square foot. The homes in the area have a median price of $29/square foot. I'm wondering if the items are something you could sell well at auction?

Omg. all that clutter! I can't even see any potential with all that clutter distracting me. And normally I can see potential in houses decorated to other peoples tastes.
That needs a staging intervention.
STAT.

I am not sure but it was weird.

Even the outside had 4 different types of siding: brick, stone, scallop siding and straight siding.

The bones of the place are quite nice.
The children of the owners didn't want to deal with all that shit

buy it gut it one massive yard sale action and remodel would be needed. Plus my 3 would not be allowed in it until it was redone.

Wow! Just wow! My fave part are the Bewitched-era-esque ovens in the kitchen. A friend of mine has an oven like that and I think they’re cool. The doors open up vertically. Samantha has the same one. Tells you how old they are 😂

Yeah, that caught my eye too. If I put such a condition on showing my house, I would probably die before selling it.

I wonder what it looks like without all that shit in there. This is exactly what I was thinking. I’d pay to see it completely empty. And it certainly looks like a lot more than 1880 square feet.

So what exactly goes on in the basement? Actually each room provokes many questions!

Wonder how vain the owner had to be to surround themselves with so many mirrors.
Maybe if they hadn’t bought all that horrendous statuary the could have updated the kitchen.
Why oh why were the pictures of the light switches, umbrella, & other strange oddments necessary? And, the ceiling over the kitchen table! Was that supposed to be an enticement.
What’s with the butterflies? There was one in the bathroom sink in the basement, as well as the one perched on the toilet lid. Did they have to move them on & off the seat lid to use it.
I felt as if I were looking at 2 different houses. One was flamboyant. The other fell out of The Brady Bunch.
Had to read the description to figure out why the cars were pictured so heavily. The fact that it would only be shown on sunny days took the cake.
Was the carpet white? That would explain the sunny days only showings.

Seldom have I seen a home in which someone had such visions of grandeur.
I guess the heirs did not want to deal with an estate sale, but I don't understand why they coulldn't at least remove the monogrammed items.
I love how the listing touts the refrigerator that is way older than I am as some sort of enticement.

I am having a hard time figuring out the thought processes that went into that decorating - and how MUCH shiny white paint was used! I will say that it is super clean. But I cannot imagine living there. It doesn't look like anyone ever did.
