That looks like a museum not a house that somebody lived in.
I didn’t read the description,, mainly because I was immediately distracted by the 1st photo but does the house come furnished?

"Unique barely begins to describe this one of a kind Grixdale Farms estate. Sale includes full contents of the house, including Kohler Campbell baby grand player piano, mi Property sold AS IS, BATVAI. Only shown on sunny days"
I'm very curious why it is only shown on sunny days?

I gasped out loud at that white living room!! It hurt my eyes!
My dh would love the garage though. Except for the clutter, the photos of the Packards on the wall are cool.

The price is 550,000 but homes in the neighborhood are 33,000!

The zip code 48030 is shared and is partly in Highland Park and partly in Detroit. I grew up a few streets away from this house. The surrounding area is blight ridden, I can't imagine they will get their asking price. In the meantime, I've shared this listing on a couple of facebook group pages and those of us from this area are having a ball going down memory lane. This house has looked the same from the outside for decades!!

Wow! The interior is straight out of Good Fellas. There is a production design treasure in there. They probably show only on sunny days to keep the white on white living room pristine.

It seems as if no one has slept in that house for years. All that creepy statuary in the bedrooms surrounding the beds? No thanks.
Among a million other things, I thought the plastic covering the bathroom rugs was an interesting touch. I only saw that in one of the bathrooms, though.

So much ornate crap!
Anyone know the story on why it's being sold now? Death of the owner?
It's certainly a unique house, but wow! Someone doesn't like any unadorned surfaces. Even the windows have ornate extra stuff on them. And no spaces left without being crammed with something.

It sounds like the value is in the automotive collectibles in the house, not in the house itself. I'm sure some collector will buy it, take the stuff they want, then unload the house at market price.

I’m guessing they don’t drink red wine. Also, the plastic wrapped toilet, including the wrapped base, makes me go hmmm... 🤨

I mentioned on the other thread that I bet the electricity has been turned off as well as the water, which would explain only sunny day showings and the plastic wrapped toilets.

I wonder if they were larger in life or kept this all a secret behind closed doors.

I never lived in Highland Park, but the hospital I was born at was there (according to my birth certificate). I lived in Livonia.
