When they are going to take their Christmas wreath off their front door. I have questions for other neighbors too, but since it is really none of my business, they will all go unasked. Just wondering...... Anything you like to ask your neighbors?

LOL! DH and I were just talking about that last weekend when we were out and about running errands and couldn’t believe just how many houses still had their ratty, wilted, dried out old wreaths hanging on the door or house. I know Easter comes around pretty early this year, but really? People ought to have their Christmas wreaths off the house before the Easter Bunny comes to town, LOL!

I want to ask what the inside of their house looks like. They have had work people over there constantly for months and months. I haven't really seen the neighbors over the winter, but with spring coming I'm sure we'll run into each other walking the dogs and gardening. I'll have chance to ask then.

Ha! I've threatened to make up flyers and stuff them in people's newspaper box saying "Take down your wreath!". It's become a game to my sister and I, who can spot the dead wreath.

I’m sure my neighbors want to ask me when I’m going to remove the dead, dried up plants from the pits around my door 😄
I want to know what my neighbor does in his garage with all the late-night sawing (10 pm-ish) We, of course, think that’s when he cuts up the bodies. But the reality is that’s probably the only time he has during the day to do his hobby.

I'd like to ask my very nice neighbors why they won't empty their newspaper box of the weekly ads. It's located right beneath the mail box. I'm sure they have recycling in the mail, so how hard is it to grab the papers and toss them with the junk mail?

I'd love to ask her why she insists on planting things on her 5 inches of grass that become invasive of my 4 feet of yard. This is the side yard between my bedroom side and her driveway and she has been doing this stuff for 20 years now. We've had her plant tree saplings on our yard, plants that creep over, and more. Several years ago she installed an iron fence and gate and had the nerve to ask if she could just come across to our house with the gate, rather than having the side fence along her drive. Um, not only no, but hell no! To help keep our side clear, we ripped up the grass last year and put down a liner with crushed granite on top. Easier to maintain. Her first attempt to grow vines on her fence was bougainvillea. It was constantly growing over to our side, as well as onto the roof of our house. The thorns made it very difficult to get back there to mow or work on the a/c unit. When I mentioned it to her, she said that we should just have our gardener deal with it, that it wasn't her problem. Fortunately a freeze killed those vines. Now she has a flowering vine that is going wild on our side. My gardener trimmed them back on our side and she lost it. Left me a voice mail saying we can't touch her vines and should just be tossing those vines back to her side. How about she just keep them trimmed herself? Besides, laws here state that anything on my side of the fence is fair game, be it plants or tree branches. Oh how I wish she'd move but there is no chance that will ever happen.

Are you ever going to put in a yard?
Or at least clean up the foot high weeds in the backyard?
How many people live in that house?

I’m thinking my neighbors want to ask me why it took until mid-February to take the pumpkins off my front porch.

Mine has a dead Christmas tree on front porch- needles should start falling off any day now. They also leave those hometowner newspapers that are thrown in driveway. They have little bits of blue plastic and disintegrated newspapers ground into the cement. First thing I do when I see one in my driveway is throw it in the trash- it's not really that difficult to do...

LOL! Our Christmas wreath is still up. Why? I'm not really sure. I like it. It doesn't scream Christmas, but it does whisper it loudly. Oh and the wreath boxes were put in the very back of the attic and covered up by some male in this house...

My neighbors are all pretty nice. There is this one fellow I'm curious about, as he is ALWAYS carrying and drinking from some sort of portable travel mug. Literally, always. At board meetings. (He's also pretty annoying at the board meetings, asking a lot of badgering questions of the board and monopolizing the meeting.) At the beach. Walking his dog. IN the pool in summer. I have never seen anyone else stand around in the pool always holding a cup.
So - I'd like to ask him what secrets he and his traveling mug might have.

I’m going back twenty-some years, but I bet my parent’s neighbors wanted to ask why my dad insisted on trimming the front hedges by flood light at midnight with an electric trimmer. I wish they would have, because me complaining that he was waking me up on a school night when I was in high school because the flood lights shone into my bedroom window and the hedges were under that window didn’t do anything.

My dh told my son he would pay him to go over to the neighbors to ask why they still have their christmas tree and lights still up. He didn't, we were joking around. We have a handful of neighbors that still have Christmas wreaths on their doors with the red bow.

My mother was here visiting this week and she asked me if my "H" for my front had broken, because my Christmas wreath was still up. No... I've just been too tired to change it back. I came home from work yesterday and she had changed it for me. Aren't moms great? LOL!

I’m thinking my neighbors want to ask me why it took until mid-February to take the pumpkins off my front porch. Oh, there’s a ceramic jack-o-lantern on a porch in my neighborhood. I’m guessing it’s too much trouble for them to put it in the attic for storage.

I would love to ask the neighbors across the street why they have 3 Lexuses and a full size Ford truck and only 2 drivers. 2 of the Lexuses are the same except different colors, the other one is a SUV. All the vehicles parked on the street. They are a middle aged to older couple with no children. He is disabled and does not work, she works from home.
For the last five years I have run every possible scenario through my head to figure this out. It’s clearly none of my business, but inquiring minds want to know.

I am curious about our neighbors' large backyard shed. I can often see a light shining in it at night before I go to bed, and when I wake up for work about 6:30 am, it is often still on. All I can think about is Jaycee Dugard.

I’m thinking my neighbors want to ask me why it took until mid-February to take the pumpkins off my front porch. Same here. And when I did get rid of them, I just threw them down the hill (on my property) and they stopped rolling near the road (still on my property). They're probably wondering why there are pumpkins growing by the road.

We are 2 drivers with 5 vehicles! We just bought a new car last Saturday which brought us up to 5. #1 - Honda - driving to NC next month to give to my mom #2 - VW - selling back to VW for a tidy sum #3 - Infiniti - DH’s baby #4 - Infiniti - new vehicle to replace the soon to be sold VW #5 - Dodge truck - our hauler that every one borrows when they have to haul crap. Only has liability and cheap to maintain. The real kicker is we have a 1922 single car garage that won’t fit a modern size car. We also have a single driveway. We are stuffed full of cars! Luckily DH keeps the truck parked at work. I’m sure our neighbors think we’re crazy.

I’m thinking my neighbors want to ask me why it took until mid-February to take the pumpkins off my front porch. Do you live on my street? My neighbors didn't get rid of the pumpkins on their porch and steps until about 2-3 weeks ago. I want to ask my neighbors (not the pumpkin ones) why they park their minivan across the street from their driveway, right at the very apex of the curve on our street, so that it limits visibility for everyone who has to drive past it heading into the cul de sac. (And don't even get me started on why they think it's okay to shame people and gesture for them to slow down when said people are driving UNDER the speed limit. And why must their kids play catch across the street from each other - one on one side & one on the other? Is this the one house on the block that somehow doesn't have a backyard?? ) I'm sure my neighbors want to ask me when we're going to spread that bag of mulch that's been sitting in the garden for months on end...and when we're going to buy it some friends, 'cuz one measly bag isn't going to cut it, LOL.

I had a HS teacher who did this 30 years ago. She had a huge thermos on her desk and drank water constantly all day, every day. At the end of the school year, one of my classmates decided to ask her about it and she said when you're diagnosed with a medical condition and the doctor says you have to drink 2 gallons of water a day, that what you have to do. She knew if she filled her thermos 4 times a day she would hit her quota. Not saying this is what's going on with the guy in the quote above, but you never know.

We were the house with the lights up all year.
I had a neighbor make a nasty comment, but not one of them asked why ?
Well husband was off his feet with a bulging disc that was really bad. ( this was the first one 20 years ago). I could not take the lights off the house myself, and we had no extra money to do it. It really would have been nice if somebody stopped by to help me take those lights off.
I stopped helping neighbors with anything after that.

If someone is sick or caring for a sick family member or trying to cope after a death in the family, dealing with house and yard and decorating fall way down on the list of priorities, as they should. It would be good if friends or neighbors asked if they needed help, but I think people may either not know the situation or don't want to intrude. I'm sorry megmc, if you lived near us we would help you.

Ds and I were heading to the gym a couple days ago and saw a guy with a pretty heavy TV by himself. I ask D's if he would help and we pulled over. The guy was very thankful. I like to do things I would like people to to for me.

It’s a *little* different if it’s an artificial one that you keep that needs to be taken down and stored until the season rolls around again. I’m talking about the natural ones that dry out, get droopy, the needles all fall off and make a mess, and they turn yellowish and gross. Those ones really need to go away once they start looking dead. I tossed mine at the end of January when all the pine needles that started to get embedded in my front door mat were driving me insane.
