I just read the thread about a Wrinkle in Time 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/75882/wrinkle-timeI know we had a discussion a few weeks ago, so I was going to link the two. I searched for "wrinkle in time" as a phrase in a thread. no results found So, I searched for "Wrinkle in Time" as a thread title. No results found--not even the new thread. I have searched unsuccessfully for other threads with no results. I always thought it was because I was not using the exact combination of words. Now I wonder......

There are many of us that have been all kinds of difficulty with it. I hate it because I used to use it all the time and it was so thorough. I can't find even the simplest of things via searches now. admin

I use it and have never had any issues with it...always works for me. I clicked on search, added "wrinkle" to "title contains" ticked "everybody" and "display as threads" and it's the first one listed. Link to previous Wrinkle in Time thread

I used to use it all the time and it was so thorough. I can't find even the simplest of things via searches now. Exactly! It used to work well, now I can't find anything I want to. Even the daily dinner threads don't come up when I search. I just tried searching What's for dinner? and the threads it brought up, in order, were: RHBH new season Anyone else get Alexa for Christmas? Argh, caterer just cancelled IS this too casual for Christmas Eve? Are you a picky eater? And then finally 2 dinner threads from January. If I put AKathy's What's for dinner in the search brings up all of the correct threads, but only the ones from 5th January and previous. So maybe it stopped working in early January this year?

I couldn't see where you were getting all of those search options, then I realised that you must be using the "search" button in the toolbar (Home - Profile - Gallery - Search - Members etc). That definitely works better. I had been searching by using the "Search" field just under the "Create Thread" button.

I had been searching by using the "Search" field just under the "Create Thread I've never used that one...not sure what it's there for but seems to not be for searching the whole board. The other one always works for me and that's the only one I use...I think it's similar to the old Two Peas site, the one in the top toolbar worked, but the one near the posts didn't & I just got into the habit of using it. I find using less words more effective and also "list as threads" otherwise you get all the individual posts on each topic.

I've had good luck Googling "nsbr" along with whatever subject I'm looking for. In the OP's case, I'd google "nsbr wrinkle in time". It usually works well- I just have to make sure I choose the correct result, usually the most recent.

Now it doesn't at all.
