i remember when i was new at 2ps (around 2002-2003) and saw ppl talking about chronological scrapping and i had no idea what they were talking about. the idea had never occurred to me!
since the beginning (2001 for me), i have scrapped what i want, when i want, in whatever manner i want. i truly can't imagine making rules for myself.

My albums are organised by topics - Christmas, DS birthdays, DD birthdays, Halloween etc. So I scrap at crops a few times a year by themes. So at one crop I might do 6 double layouts on two years of DD's school things. Then three different Christmas LO.

It always made sense to me for my albums to be chronological. I grew up with my mom's photo albums organized that way.
I have 2017 mostly completed (I'm working on 2 vacation albums at the moment ) and then I'll go back to 2013 I think? and pick up where I left off. I'm working back in time until I can get my almost 20yo DDs' baby pics scrapped.

I can't imagine scrapping chronologically- it would kill my creativity.
I'm a random scrapper and my albums are arranged mostly by theme.
Albums I'm working on: 1)My Mexico trip with my boyfriend 2)Other things I do with my boyfriend 3)My nephews- right now they each have their own book but I might go back and mix those chronologically so the three of them are all mixed up. This will take a lot of books. 4)My parents 5)Christmas 6)Family get togethers, Halloween, Easter, etc. 7)Rehoboth Beach vacations 8)Disney vacation
So I work on a lot of books at once. I just pick 1-3 photos of something that appeals to me and make a page. Sometimes I'll chose photos because they go with some new scrapbook product that I'm dying to use.
Then they go in whatever book that makes sense. I use the 3-ring albums so I can switch things around and put pages wherever I want.
