And yet I just heard on the radio that if he has to step down as head of the EPA, Trump is considering him (Pruitt) as a possible replacement for Jeff Sessions!?! Would he have to be confirmed for the different job title? Apparently the ability to say "yes, Mr. Trump; that sounds great!" and to pucker up and kiss Trump's (lumpy and saggy) ass are the ONLY requirements for any position in this administration. He has done sooooo much damage already.. No way can I envision him as AG! |

Translation - trump & company are finding their “wonderful” tax cuts is hard sell that the public doesn’t appear to be buying. So trump has resorted to his comfort blanket speech to make him feel better. In fact I saw a blurb where someone was trying to make the case that corporations that are buying back their stock with their windfall is good for the economy and then workers. I didn’t read the the theory behind this but I’m sure it was interesting.

1. If Manafort set this up for the former Ukrainian President, there is no reason to believe he wouldn’t have done the same for the trump campaign. That could have been very well what his “expertise” was that he brought to the campaign.
2. When you have members of governments of foreign countries going after a candidate for president then you have to believe they consider that person a threat. Otherwise why bother.

So, I was listening to NPR this morning and I got so angry when listening to their interview with the Surgeon General about narcan and the opioid crisis that I had to turn it off. I realize the opioid crisis is a real crisis, I get it, but I cannot understand why this administration feels like they need to prioritize grants to give out narcan to people. The surgeon general was going on about they were going to make sure that it was either free or very low cost to people. He said they are going to work with the pharmaceutical companies to keep costs low. Seriously? This is a priority? People can’t pay for their Epi pens, diabetes medications, cancer fighting treatment, or even regular prescriptions, but yes, let’s make it a priority to make narcan affordable. So the Narcan story was on the news tonight. While I think it is very noble and nice that the surgeon general would like all of America to carry this drug so that they can help in the event it is needed, I have issues with this. The surgeon general wants all of us to BUY a drug that many of us will never need? This stinks of big pharma and kickbacks. And I do not say that lightly, as I am usually very skeptical of people who throw it out over every little thing. Was I correct in hearing that this drug costs 180/dose? I hope I misheard that (the kids were screaming and running around during the news tonight). I’m sorry, but no. I will not be buying a drug just because it could potentially save some random stranger I may happen to run into on the street someday. And honestly, I’m not a medical professional. How the hell am I, a random chick on the street, supposed to discern that the problem with this person I’ve never met is that they’re ODing on opioids, and that yes, the random drug I’ve got in my purse will keep them from dying? What happens if they’re having a heart attack and I go ahead and administer this because I think it’s an OD and it instead kills them? No. Just no.

So, I am reading a book that I want to share with you. A particularly horrifying read to be honest, but I try to read things in a very broad spectrum. I DO NOT suggest purchasing the book. I borrowed it from a library and as such, it will not transfer profit to the authors. The Trump Prophecies by Mark Taylor and Mary Colbert. Interesting to listen to their account of being responsible for our current administration. Love the list where they name names of who was working behind the scenes to bring this about. So just throwing that out there. Take it or leave it, but please do not fund these people. I’m curious why the authors of a book that shines light on this dumpster fire are the villains here who shouldn’t get paid? Enlighten me please, this is the first I’ve heard about this book or these authors. |

Enlighten me please, this is the first I’ve heard about this book or these authors. For me, it is because they are not shining light from outside, but from inside. They are claiming an active role and credit for putting him into this position. They are claiming that they knew what would happen if he were to be elected, and that they wanted everything he has done so far, and much more to come. They intend to use their resources to keep him in power. For myself, personally, I do not want ANY of my resources going to assist them in that goal. ETA: Everyone is obviously free to spend their resources in whatever way they choose, but for me, not a dime will be going in that direction if I can help it. Fair enough. Thank you for sharing! |

But in the real world he is taking this country down a path that does not bode well for everyday American Citizens like this pissing match he seems determined to have with China.
