Watching what? I love him too. I was so disappointed I found out he was coming to town after his tickets had gone on sale. I've only seen him live once before, it was an amazing show where he toured with Billy Joel. Was hoping to see him one more time.

Elton John performs a really great concert. I would love to see him live, once again.

We’re watching. It’s fabulous! He’s one of my all-time favorites. Years ago I told DH all I wanted for our anniversary was tickets to his concert in Austin. He wasn’t thrilled but he came through and admitted afterwards that it was the second best concert he had ever been to.

Really enjoying this. And I normally don’t watch/enjoy these kind of shows-usually disappointing.
It’s Elton John!

He is one of my favorites! I hope to see him on his farewell tour but tickets are crazy expensive.

Loved (almost) every minute of the show tonight! The Gayle King recitation was a little weird, but thankfully, it was brief. Everything else was fabulous!

Was thinking about it, but no.
We were thinking about going to his concert, but seriously he has enough money and doesn't need mine.

I have lost count of the number of EJ concerts I've been to and now...we're talking about coming to see him play in New York in November as part of his final tour!! I hope we can make it work - it's expensive obviously coming from the UK but it would be amazing to combine seeing him and NY

You go because you enjoy his show and his music. If you don't enjoy it then you don't go. End of story. I personally have seen him 14 times over the years and will see him again next year as I have the tickets all ready. It has nothing to do with how much money he has. And with his talent, he has earned his money.

I've seen him in concert 5 times and he's been great each and every show. I watched parts of the CBS show and it was a nice tribute.

I DVR'ed it so I will watch it in the next few days. I always wanted to see him so I was thrilled to have gotten tickets for one of his DC shows in September. I am also really happy they are on a Friday and Saturday night! That never happens.

Years ago...15..16...at this point, a friend gave me tickets to "dueling pianos" which was Elton John and Billy Joel together. I dragged DH (he did NOT want to go). What a great show. To this day he'll tell you it's one of the best he's seen. I've been a fan ever since that show.

BUT I can listen to them in my home for a lot less hassle than the getting out, traveling 50 minutes each way, trying to find a parking spot in our "not thought out very well on location and no parking" concert venue, then trying to throw in dinner and the cost of the concert. At that point, the cost of the ticket is not worth it to me. AND you have to admit that most concert these days are ridiculously priced. For major headliners like Elton and that level or performers, I just can't. I did see him about 25ish years ago. He was wonderful in concert. I just can't get on board for my most favorite people these days at current costs. Plus, I just don't do people well these days. Crowds are almost an automatic no for me.

I just got an email that there will be 3 more concert dates-Denver, Anaheim, CA, and New York City. If you are in these cities PM me. I was in Elton's facebook group and was able to get presale tickets because of this. Although I still got nosebleed seats. The seats anywhere else cost multi-hundreds of dollars. I paid $163.00 for one seat in the nosebleed section in Washington DC. But I've never seen him and he was my favorite since I was 15-his was the first album I ever bought.

Wow, thank you so much for the offer that is very sweet Alas, I am just outside of San Antonio, Tx so while we love Elton, we can't afford to love him that much this year. Anywhere in Texas would have been easily doable. I really appreciate you thinking of me!

That is fine and you are absolutely right if it is not what you want to spend your hard earned money on. But don't fault the singer himself. He has a gift that many love to share in.
