Chris Murphy....
“Under the ACA, millions of Americans gained coverage. But thanks to Trump's sabotage of the health care system, we're losing ground. ➡️ Around 4 million people have lost insurance since 2016 ➡️ Low-income Americans get hit the hardest”
Ah that’s ok the hardest hit are low-income Americans. According to the compassionate Republicans, being poor is a choice and if they just work harder....

Just when I think Trump's antics can't get anymore absurd... I need to stop being surprised by his behavior. I think we all need to stop thinking 'this can't possibly get any worse' or any number of other things... but it's hard to do! There are always more depths to sink to, apparently. I am no surprised by Trumos behavior. Not one but he’s acting exactly as he always has. He has always been a liar, has always played like rules do not apply to him. And people keep debating how/why to believe all the leaked stories about Trump. Because he’s a liar and always has been I’ve seen him lie I know he lies. I don’t need snopes to tell me Trump lies. What I am continually surprised at is how many people continue to be suckered into his virtual reality. How many people do his bidding and then look around shocked when he turns on them. Why wouldn’t you expect him to turn in you he’s Turned in everyone over the years including family members. He is loyal to himself period. The Cohens & Birnsteins if the world should know this and expect it. ( Cohen most of all because I’m sure he participated in these betrayals.) But why average republicans are willing to snuggle up to him baffles me. He will turn on them too he always does. It’s jst a question of when. When will your usefulness wane and Trump throws you away like yesterday’s used napkin. To me the fastest way to end your political career is to align with a man who WILL betray you. He has betrayed everyone your not special. He threw his younger brother Robert under the bus in Atlantic City if hevwill betray family he will betray anyone!

You can always tell when trump is using his “executive time” and watching Fox News...
trump...
“A Rigged System - They don’t want to turn over Documents to Congress. What are they afraid of? Why so much redacting? Why such unequal “justice?” At some point I will have no choice but to use the powers granted to the Presidency and get involved!”
He did that 3 hours ago. No follow-up tweet. So I guess one had to be watching the show to know what he talking about.

GOP candidate using creative license: GOP Senate candidate doctors picture of opponent, replaces Trump with ClintonBY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 05/02/18 04:02 PM EDT A Republican candidate in the West Virginia Senate race released a campaign ad featuring an image of his opponent shaking Hillary Clinton’s hand — an event that never happened. Rep. Evan Jenkins's (R-W.Va.) campaign ad shows GOP primary opponent Attorney General Patrick Morrisey shaking hands with Clinton, despite the original image being one of him shaking hands with President Trump, Yahoo News reported. Jenkins spokesman Andre Seré told FactCheck.org that the campaign had taken “creative license” with the image. ** “Despicable @evanjenkinswv photoshopped my photo with @realdonaldtrump and substituted it with Hillary, who I have always strongly opposed,” he tweeted last week. “Where is the accountability as this liar tries to deceive voters?” ** thehill.com/homenews/campaign/385908-gop-senate-candidate-doctors-picture-of-opponent-replaces-trump-with

Michael Cohen is learning the brutal truth about TrumpBy Jill Filipovic Updated 8:32 AM ET, Wed May 2, 2018 ** The Enquirer cover sends a signal that Cohen, whose office and home were recently raided by federal investigators, is out of the President's good graces. That's bad news for Cohen, a faithful Trump lackey despite the President's general disrespect and mockery of him. Cohen is, to put it mildly, not a smart man, and not a particularly good lawyer. It seems likely that he breached the basic ethics and rules of his profession (and that he isn't even clear on what those ethics and rules might be); it's very possible he has committed serious crimes and could face jail time. It also couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy. Cohen is just one of the many hangers-on who make shady careers out of fastening, remora-like, to marginally wealthier crooks and dissemblers. ** Even more incredible would be the cluelessness of such an action: consider that Cohen is one of the people who could hurt the President the worst. Indeed, the President seemed to consider it for a moment -- what else was the recent pardon of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby about, if not to signal to Trump's friends and implicated associates that they're OK as long as he's in charge? In any case, he appears to have either forgotten or disregarded this consideration in favor of some other shiny object that would satisfy his yen for revenge. Enter the Enquirer. More at link: www.cnn.com/2018/05/01/opinions/cohen-national-enquirer-jill-filipovic/index.htmlNot sure, but Cohen could be a weak link in this all........

“Big caveat with today's Cambridge Analytica news: Parent company SLC Group has already set up a mysterious new company called Emerdata, according to The Guardian.
Alexander Nix and Rebekah Mercer are reportedly listed as a directors.”
Rebekah Mercer is Robert Mercer’s daughter. Mercer originally funded Cambridge Analytica.

“This isn’t some game. You are screwing with the work of the president of the United States.” John Dowd, March 2018. With North Korea, China, the Middle East and so much more, there is not much time to be thinking about this, especially since there was no Russian “Collusion.”
Then let the investigation proceed without all the threats. If you have nothing to hide then it should be no problem.

I have learned a few things about conservatives with the ads of some of the republicans trying to wipe out other republicans in the races May 8th— A “true” conservative means: -anti LBGTQ -against women’s rights -anti immigrant -if you didn’t vote for trump you cannot say you are a conservative/republican -are for the “rule of law” with standing for law enforcement

So much for OUR benefits with the tax cuts for the 1%!! Paul Krugman: Tax cut turning out to be a 'nothing burger'by Danielle Wiener-Bronner @dwbronner May 2, 2018: 6:12 PM ET Paul Krugman thinks the Republican tax law is failing to stimulate economic growth as promised. "We should be seeing an investment boom or at least some indications of a planned increased investment," the Nobel Prize-winning economist told CNN correspondent Paula Newton on "Quest Means Business" on Wednesday. "We're just not seeing that."In terms of business investment, Krugman said, it "looks like the tax cut is a nothing burger." Republicans promised last year that lowering the corporate tax rate would encourage companies to invest more in new factories and equipment, which would create jobs and boost the economy. But so far, many companies have used the money to reward shareholders. One recent example is Apple (AAPL), which announced Tuesday that it will spend $100 billion more on stock buybacks. The company spent $22.8 billion buying back its own stock in the first three months of this year. US companies have plowed more than $246 billion into stock buybacks this year, according to the research firm Birinyi Associates. That's up 31% from the same point last year. Cisco (CSCO) and Wells Fargo (WFC) alone have announced plans to repurchase more than $20 billion of stock each. Krugman said he's "surprised at how little effect we're seeing on corporate spending."Krugman, who is also a columnist for The New York Times, added that he was always skeptical that the new tax law would trigger the economic benefits touted by some lawmakers. But the results so far, he said, are "worse than the pessimists expected." Wall Street usually loves buybacks because they provide persistent demand for stocks while inflating earnings per share. But Goldman Sachs (GS) expressed skepticism last week about companies focused on returning vast amounts of cash through buybacks and dividends instead of investing. money.cnn.com/2018/05/02/news/economy/paul-krugman-tax-cut-apple-buybacks/index.html

CREW....
“Rudy Giuliani said Trump "reimbursed" Cohen for the 130K to Stormy Daniels. If it was a loan to Trump for which Cohen expected to be reimbursed after making the payment to Daniels, Trump seemingly violated federal law by failing to disclose it.”
This after this ...
Kyle Griffin....
“Flashback: On April 5th, Trump told reporters he had no knowledge of the Stormy Daniels payment.”
Do you ever get the feeling that the “trump show” is a three ring circus and trump is the head of the keystone cops?

@fred you beat me to it... I was coming here to post about the Rudy Giuliani statement.
If it's true, then Trump (and Sanders) lied about the transaction. They knew about the payment and Trump actually made the payment, in a round about way.
Wouldn't Cohen have to disclose a payment like that? Aren't all deposits into a bank over $10,000 tracked? How did he get around that?
Also, will Mueller investigate the transaction to see if Trump violated campaign finance laws or will a new investigative team need to be created? Can Trump simply not allow an investigation since it will be targeting him and his election campaign?

I'm watching the clip of Rudy's statements again and again tonight, and Rudy claims that Cohen was paid by Trump "over a series of months", so maybe it was $9,900 each time? No idea. None of it makes any sense. Seems that Rudy was an old grandpa, speaking about supposed truths. Either that or he shot his mouth off and he'll be handed his head in the morning by Trump.

does it seem to anyone else that the snowballing sh!t show that is the trump circus is getting to the out of control point, as in it may get him and his sooner than later. Or at least sooner than I thought a couple days ago. Something feels different. Maybe I'm just tire. and tired of it. (all)
I feel like it may still take time but there is TOO MUCH stuff for him to go unscathed now.
maybe I'm hopeful because I am tired. who knows.
ETA Stormy Daniel's lawyer was just on (Colbert) and said he thinks, with all he knows, that the pressure will be too much and 45 will resign.
