I love that this big die is included in the kit. So far I’m in, we’ll see what the next few days bring.

I can't tell if it's going to be fairy tale themed overall or it was just a word choice from HA when promoting this card on their IG...if it is, I might need it.

Not a fan of the tree Janette used and now I’m not sure about the swing die either. It’s nice, but once I’ve used it once or twice I’m not sure that I’d keep on using it.

I can see using this for a lot of cards. Not sure about the rest. Love the background colors! Wonder if some ink cubes will be included?

It looks pretty good. Something I don't already have in my stamp box. I'm getting a bit tired of the tiny greetings though. I'm guessing we'll get more of those reactive ink cubes like last month.

That first card is really nice but I don’t think it would be worth it for me since I wouldn’t get that much use out of it. A couple of cards is about it and I wouldn’t use it in layouts.

It looks like the swing part can easily be cut off without ruining the look of the tree so I think the die is much more than a one time use die. I’m really liking this kit, so far it’s a yes for me.

I'm wondering if I could combine that die (with the swing cut away) with my Christmas deer die cut to create a layered card... I'd probably be better off getting one of the Memory Box dies from the same release as my deer - much more chance that it would look good. But anyway, I'm tempted. I'm hoping I win the giveaway!

Seeing the whole kit now it feels so limited. How many silhouette swing cards can I make?
The ink pad that has been used in almost every preview is $9 extra. I feel that was a bit misleading from the preview.
That is a whole lot of perfectly lining up that tree and dozen branches. Even with my stamp platform that just seems like too much work that could go very wrong.
Edited to add: I'm thinking I could stamp a kid on a swing and use one of those silhouette birds flying right at them like some giant Birds reenactment or something.

I caved. I don't have anything in my stash like this. I really like the "with brave wings she flies" sentiment. I actually do like all the branches so I can create my own tree. The oval branch die seems versatile too since the swing can be easily cut out.
I also got the round rectangle infinity dies I have been eyeing for quite some time.
I really hope Jennifer McGuire has a video using the kit.
ETA: Duh! I didn't read down far enough in the post to see the blog links!

Not my style and feels a bit limited overall so it was an easy pass for me.

I looked at it for a while, and wasn't really inspired by the finished pieces they showed using the kit. But as I looked at each item, lots of other ideas came to me, so I decided to go for it. I think it will make sweet cards for comfort and encouragement. The tree-line frame is really pretty, and would be gorgeous with a sunset oxide background, maybe even a shaker card. The tree branch stamps and the stencil have lots of interesting possibilities for embossing and decorative arrangements.
The Hero Arts team projects are usually pretty straightforward in design and color, and not very innovative. But once the kit comes out, other crafters really bring them to life. I have a feeling there will be a lot of beautiful projects made from this one.

I just bought it too, mostly because Jennifer McGuire made it look really good, partly because I don't have anything like this in my stash, and I think the die might work with my Xmas deer die once I snip the swing off, and partly because when I looked at the product page the soft Distress Oxide sunset-ish backgrounds with black stamping looked so pretty, and I have oxide inks and can very easily stamp stuff in black. That's my stamping specialty, actually. I made sure not to browse their site at all. $44 with tax and shipping is more than enough for me to spend, good value or not. Does this kit ship fast, or will I forget all about it by the time it arrives, like with SSS?

I look at it as a discount on that item, rationalizing as only a true scrapper can! They don't ship super-fast, but nothing like SSS! We will probably have them in a week or so.

If you ordered kit only you're more likely to go out earlier than if you added things to it.
