Very pretty colors...but I have a hard time using their more graphic papers.

These are very pretty! I’m sure it’ll be in citrus twist kits because kaitlyn designs for both. I’ll use it and love it!

The papers look like they'd be hard for me to use, but the embellishments are really speaking to me. Will definitely be picking up parts of this.

I'll be the odd one out: I like the papers, not the embellishments. That periwinkle blue though.

I like the black & white line drawn paper and some of the puffy stickers, that's about it.

Another 6x6 for me. Those designs in the larger size are just too bold for my style of scrapping.

I like the patterns and the embellishments look usable (no llamas or dinosaurs I can't use) but the colors aren't doing anything for me.

I have to say it is a bit disheartening to see those hearts in the puffy stickers. Pinkfresh does the ordering (not sure if they directly manufacture or not) for a lot of companies including Elle's Studio and those hearts are Elle's specific heart shapes. I sure hope PFS licensed them from her and didn't take advantage of having access to ES's content.

True, but this particular shape is easily identifiable as Elle's. PFS could have come up with a wonky heart of their own but instead went the easy route and used a design commonly used by a company they produce product for.

It's not even the first time Pinkfresh has done puffy wonky hearts, for that matter. I have their set from The Mix 2 and they're awesome.

Just wasn't as active on the boards at the time to say something. So yeah, it's not the first time they've used another company's designs.

Not sure where all the defense of PFS is coming from. People tear into Paige Evans for nearly identical stuff...same with SC...and here this is a direct and easily identifiable copy of something PFS manufactures for someone else (sure, hearts are a general shape, but it can't be that difficult to come up with your own freaking design of them versus using the design of someone you work with) and it's suddenly okay because 'anyone can do wonky hearts'. Sure, anyone can, but anyone can also come up with their own version instead of using another company's version.

Saying she’s ripping off designs is premature without all the facts.

The easiest way to avoid any issues would have been to make her own as there would be no doubt.

The puffy hearts made me immediately think of the puffy hearts from Studio Calico (Twine + Ink) that were in the Copper Mountain kit and a few others if I remember correctly.

Before she had dimensional products made by others.
She's used those hearts since at least 2015 (maybe earlier but she's not keeping as much older stuff active on her website anymore, so it's up to google to find blog posts and such using older kits) and the puffy stickers were first released in very late 2016, like December or at the start of 2017. I ordered the puffy hearts from the get go and my first order for them was in January 2017.

I seriously feel like I'm getting trolled right now. But I'll chalk it up to following Elle's Studio for several years and knowing her style. At the time she started using those hearts she was a much smaller operation so it's fair that others wouldn't know that she's been using them as flat embellishments for so long.
All that being said, I will reiterate that I hope it was done on the up and up. It feels too obvious not to have been because they are identical and very similarly clustered on the sticker sheets, but people like Paige Evans and companies like Studio Calico unfortunately cast concern.

I've been drawing wonky hearts like these since I was a kid. Seriously. I still draw hearts this way. I write slanted and thin so I never got the hang of the traditional more "fat" and rounded hearts. I don't think what PP did with the Paige Evans line (I still haven't figured out whether PP took the hit for Paige because they were just protecting their big name or because the truth is that Paige doesn't do much of the actual design work so someone one the design team was in fact to blame for the blatant copy) is comparable to wonky heart shapes. In one case, it was an actual artwork ripoff. I do understand your frustration, scrapaddict702 , but I wonder whether it isn't more likely Pinkfresh Studio is using the same licensed design bought elsewhere? That seems more probable as they would be aware of the licensed set since they manufacture the product for Elle's Studio. I don't have the will or patience to search licensed designs but it's very easy with a simple Google Image search to come across plenty of vectors in the same design vein such as the following: ETA: I'm not sure why you'd think we're trolling you, scrapaddict702. Most of those intervening are regular faces around here.

Oh sweet baby jesus. Because to me it seems so OBVIOUS they are a direct copy and no one else sees it, that's why.

Holy fucking shit...it was a comment made in sarcasm because I feel like people are defending something that is insanely obvious that it's a direct copy.
They could be from a stock site, you're right. But I would then argue that it's in poor taste to go buy the same commercially license-able design as someone you manufacture for when you could just as easily make your own.

I agree that it's a bit iffy to use the same design set (provided it's stoc and not from a designer both ES and PP have used/are using) but at least it wouldn't be blatant plagiarism (unlike the Paige/PP scandal). These wonky heart shapes are way better balanced than SC's Twine + Ink ones, I'll say that. Elle's Studio and PP have better taste. I just realised there's another YOLO sentiment in the collection. Is that still a thing? Anyone using #yolo is doing it ironically these days, aren't they?
