Hello and Happy June 2018 !
I have a couple of prayer requests and I thought perhaps I would start a monthly prayer and praise thread. We will see how it goes and hopefully will have a new thread each month.
If you are a praying pea, please pray for the following:
1) Catherine - my sister-in-law and her family: Her 55 year old brother suddenly passed away in his sleep. He has never had any health issues prior to now. They believe it may have been a heart attack.
2) Rylee - my friend's 20 year old daughter was hit by a car last Sunday. She is in ICU in critical condition, multiple broken bones, brain injury. Please pray for her and for her parents.
What praises or prayer requests would you like the peas to be praying about?
ETA: "Liking" someone's post lets them know you saw their prayer request and will be praying for them.

I am so glad that you started this thread! I was actually thinking the other day that this would be a nice thread to have for the power of prayer. I would like to pray for all of our fellow peas who are ill or who are facing trials and tribulations. I may forget a few names; so if I do anyone who reads this thread please add their names. donna , elaine , susan , peppermintpatty , zella , MrsLeftyFixIt , scrapmaven , craftykitten , sueg , theshyone (daughter, Alexis, friend Heidi, who lost both parents in car accident) ~Sherri~ , me2 , canadianscrappergirl (son Spencer), jeremysgirl (daughter), ntsf (friend’s mom Gigi and her DH’s friend John), bearmom (daughter), scrappintoee (friend Debbie) 61redhead (coworker’s daughter Avery - needs heart transplant)

My daughter will be undergoing two different cardiac surgeries at the end of June at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. This requires us to travel, and is a very scary thing for a teenager. Prayers, positive thoughts, would be appreciated. Surgery number one on June 27 and number two on June 28
my daughters name is Alexis

Adding craftykitten to this list. If anyone who doesn’t have their first name listed cares to add it I’d really appreciate it. I find it easier to pray when I have a “real” name...I know that’s probably odd but, well, that’s me!

This is a pic of my 18 year old DD shopping for her graduation dress two weeks ago. She is battling bipolar with near constant mania and it is aiding an eating disorder. She weighs 82 pounds. She is seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist, but we haven't seen much improvement. I am quite scared.

disneypal ......This is a wonderful idea; prayer is such an awesome thing! I am happy to pray for for everyone mentioned here. I'm so sorry about your s-i-law's brother and your friend's daughter. jeremysgirl .....I'm so sorry about your daughter ((( hugs ))). It's so sad to see someone so young have to deal with so much! It's awesome that she's graduating---I can't imagine how HARD school / studying is when dealing with bipolar AND an eating disorder! I'd appreciate prayers for my dear friend Debbie; she is battling MANY health issues. She used to work full-time and took total care of her quadraplegic husband until he died. She has always been such a giving person, taking care of others, so she doesn't like to ask for help. She was coping well until recently; and now she's falling into hopelessness and depression. I WISH she still lived nearby, but she moved several states away. I used to take my sweet doggies to her house or she'd come over and hang out with us, and it would cheer her up SO much!

Can you please add me to the prayer list. A few weeks ago, I had my routine mammogram, and a lump was found. After a number of follow-up appointments, I now have an appointment Monday to discuss my surgery and futher treatment. The biopsy shows it is a G1 tumor, which isn't bad, as tumors go, but it is still cancer.

She is seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist, but we haven't seen much improvement. I am quite scared. I too have a dd with an eating disorder couples with anxiety. It is very difficult and I find people understand less about that than most mental disorders (which most people don’t understand either) and I am tired of comments of ‘just make her eat.’ Does she have a nutritionist? I have found dd does much better when seeing her therapist, medical doctor, and her nutritionist. She went away to college last fall and was doing really well until she stopped seeing her nutritionist (she kept bringing in students to dd’s sessions which made dd very uncomfortable) and eating went downhill. Dh and I have decided that a condition of us continuing to pay for college is her seeing all three regularly again. Unfortunately she is now 18 and that limits what we (dh and I) can control. ETA: by control I refer to not being able to talk to her medical team, make her go to appointments, etc.

My friend Heidi just lost both parents in a car accident, her Mom immediately, her Dad after she got to his bedside.

Thank you disneypal for this thread. What a wonderful way to support each other and our friends and family members who are suffering. I'd like to add my co-worker's baby, Avery, who is still awaiting a heart transplant. She just turned 3 months old. Prayers lifted for all mentioned here, and those unmentioned, as well.

I know everyone has so much more difficult and important things than this, but if anyone has a spare prayer I would appreciate it. I need to find a place to live in the next few months and it’s stressing me out. It’s going to come down to luck & timing, neither of which are things I usually have.
I know I can do this but I’m still stressing about it every day and apparently now while I sleep too.
