Wondering if you had one......was it remarkable or remarkable 'cause you were with your honey?
Me: 1st marriage: 2 nights in a motel 2nd marriage: we had a week planned at a resort, but my DH had a kidney stone 2 days before wedding. He was in hospital and we could not get marriage license so wedding was delayed for 2 days. He was very ill, so trip was cancelled.

Owww that’s too bad!
We went to Caesar’s Pocono resorts because he wanted the champagne glass whirlpool. True story. Early March in PA. It wasn’t snowy or warm. We had a good time. I would have liked to go to the islands or someplace warm. But I was glad to be with him.

My husband I spent 10 days in Maui after our wedding. We had so much fun, we were only 21.

First husband:weekend at home. First daughter conceived. 2nd husband: night in hotel 3rd husband: 11 days in Jamaica. We were too exhausted from the wedding planning to have too much bedroom time but we had a wonderful relaxing trip together. I hope we can go back at like our 20th anniversary for memories.

We went to Virginia Beach for a week. We're celebrating 25 years in a few weeks... trying to talk him into Hawaii this fall, but so far, it's not working!

Our engagement was delayed for kidney stones! He was going to propose on our 2year dating anniversary and wound up in the hospital instead. So sorry the kidney stones ruined things for you!

We were given our honeymoon trip by my in-laws. They bought us airfare to Oahu (hubby's home). That's all (MIL and I never got along - odd how now I get to choose where she lives out the rest of her days).
We had no hotel and were too young (20) to rent a car. Car agency told us that if my in-laws had rented it, there wouldn't have been a problem. But ya know, why give your eldest son a car for a week in Hawaii?
So we stayed at the airport Holiday Inn (because we could afford it and we literally had NO idea and no help on where to stay), and we took the bus around the island. At the end of the week, we were able to borrow his step-mom's beat up Chevy Nova and were able to finally get out and about.
My husband absolutely refused to play tourist and see any tourist type things because his mother had talked so badly about tourists in Hawaii destroying it. FTR, she was white and from Connecticut - gives you an idea of how loopy this woman was.
I kept a smiley face up to the time we got on the plane to go home and then I cried.
We went back a couple of years later - car, hotel, touristy plans galore and we had a blast.
When his brother (the favorite son) got married, she got them an entire trip at a resort. And a car. We had a HUGE argument.
LOL Fun times!!!
We're going to go to the Big Island next year - what's a little volcano activity compared to our married life adventures LOL
Oh and it's our 38th anniversary in Sept.

LOL it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. It’s a complete semicircle so we kept sliding down. Water sloshed out every time we moved and landed a few floors down. 😂 Not really as romantic as it looks but great for pics.

We went to Victoria, Canada for 10 days. At the time,23 had Southwest miles and we could go anywhere they flew. We were contemplating Vegas because it was cheap, but we hate the Vegas scene. Then we discovered that with the dollar being as strong a step it was, we could go to Canada for nearly the same price as Vegas. We flew to Seattle, ferried to Victoria, and had a wonderful time.

No, we were poor. He had to be back to work as a teacher by the next Tuesday (married on a Saturday). We spent Saturday night in a hotel and then back to my parents' house for a breakfast reception and moved to Colorado on Monday. We went to Mexico about 6 years later. After my kids could travel (and by that I mean act like well behaved kids and pull their own luggage), we started to make up for it.

We flew out the day after our wedding to LA to catch a cruise ship to the Mexican Riviera. We ended up being on the same ship with Richard Simmons. He was having one of his weight loss thingys on there. The weather was great and I had the best time when we were in Cabo San Lucas. We went snorkeling off of a boat called the Pez Gato. The water was so cold it took your breath away but I had an underwater camera and I took pics of fish 🐠. Just celebrated 23 years in April.

Our honeymoon was 2 weeks on the Big Island of Hawaii. We had the best time! For our wedding gift, my mom gifted us a sunset cruise on a catamaran. It was lovely!
P.S. Our honeymoon was paid for by DH and me.

No honeymoon, we didn’t even have a car. We took the Greyhound bus back to where we lived as DH was still in school. I have photos of the Just Married sign that my family put on the back of the bus.
We have travelled a lot since then, we’ve been married almost 35 years.

First marriage, we eloped and went to Hawaii. I paid for the entire trip, flights and resort, and my husband was supposed to bring all of our spending money. We were in two different countries and met in Hawaii. He brought $400. For two weeks in Hawaii. I should have not gone through with the wedding based on that alone.
Second marriage, we went to Ireland and had plenty of spending money!

DH and I did a 10 day road trip through the northeast for our honeymoon. To this day it's my favorite trip we've taken. We had no plans and no reservation when we left. We flew to Boston, rented a car, and drove wherever we wanted to go. It was relaxing and fun, and we got to experience the northeast in the fall. I hope we get to do it again some day!

Yes, we went skiing for a week all around Lake Tahoe. Heavenly didn't have great snow, but we loved Squaw Valley and especially Kirkwood (is that the name?) I feel like there was a 4th resort. We also did a little gambling. But we were young so spent most of our time on the mountain. We are not really "sun" people so the typical honeymoon didn't appeal to us. It was way back in the dark ages before the Internet was much of a thing so we chose our hotel by an add in a Magezine. Fantasy Inn maybe? Anyway, it was supposed to have theme rooms. I didn't care much what the theme was I told them, as long as it wasn't something silly like leopard print carpet. These photos are from their website, and our room was like the one on the right. I just captured the other photo for details. It was *awesome* but I thought DH would die when we they brought our luggage in and he noticed the mirror on the ceiling with someone else in the room. Eta: It was a lot of fun, but then we always have a good time when we travel. We paid for it ourselves and were much easier to impress at the time. We thought the $20 buffet at Harrah's on New Year's Eve was outrageously priced but some of the best food we had ever eaten. Ah, good times! Attachments:

Married at 20 years old, for about a decade. Been divorced for many years.
Honeymoon was a road trip to California. I think we stayed local hotel Wedding night. Then drove to California the next day. Went to Disneyland, KnottsBerry Farm, beach, and other cheap tourist stuff. Young, and not a lot of money. I think we stayed at Motel 6 (or equivalent). I think for 3-4 days, until we were low/out of honeymoon designated money. LOL!!

We went to the Poconos in Dec with snow everywhere. It's only like a hour away so it was a easy trip.

We spent a few days on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We didn’t have any real plans and only reservations for one night at a fancy resort. The rest of the time we just made our way up the coast, finding a room as we went. We ended up staying at the same resort, in the same cabin, where my parents had honeymooned 25 years earlier. Another night we stayed at the resort where we stayed when I was in college. $32 a night and we would easily cram 20 people in one room, with the bathroom down the path. We were 22, weeks out of college, and broke!

We spent a week in Bermuda and it was fabulous. We stayed in a B&B and just drove around and explored the whole island on a scooter. We are married 30 years this fall.

I didn't read all the choices before I voted. I have been married twice and had a honeymoon both times. The first was to a beach just a few hours away from home which was all we could afford. Then 2nd marriage we went to the Canadian Rockies starting in Seattle and driving up the coast to Whistler and the across British Columbia. I think we went to 4 Canadian national parks and I lost count of the provincial parks. It was gorgeous!

We left for our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding. We flew from Los Angeles to Calgary and then drove to Banff and stayed in one of the turrets of the Banff Springs hotel. The room was two stories with a curved staircase. We then stayed a few days at the Chateau Lake Louise in Lake Louise. We then flew to Vancouver and drove up to Whistler. We were married in July and the weather was glorious! Loved everything about that trip.
Celebrating 23 years next month.

One of these days we will make it there! We didn't actually stay in Whistler. We drove up to it late in the day stopping every little bit to look at the sunset over the Pacific. Beautiful. It did put us late driving out of Whistler east over a unpaved road. I was driving at the time and DH kept saying, "don't you want me to drive?" "No, I told him, I'm making myself sick." I couldn't imagine being a passenger on that deserted road. Fortunately the roads got way better the next morning and for the duration of the trip.
