Is it still a public group? I appear to no longer have access. (And I didn’t even do or say anything worth being kicked out over...) Just curious if it is something that affects only me or other folks as well

My guess if that you (maybe?) participated in one of the TC threads and if Tracie can figure out who you are, she will ban you because you participated AT ALL.

I’m guessing she either connected you to this board and deleted you, or meant to delete someone else and got you instead.

Our infiltrated spies are dropping like flies! Sorry you were kicked out, coffeegirl. We still have stinkerbelle, everybody rejoice!
But can you imagine the lengths Tracie goes to in order to delete all these hypothetical leaks? Gurl must be working overtime. Armchair detective awards, here she comes! (and for such a noble and pure cause too)

I can't access the FB group anymore either...I wonder if its connected to unsubscribing to the podcast...I just got tired of the drama....

It just says it's a "closed" group not private.

She has no way of know who is listening to her garbage. But she does read here and has (many times) deleted people who she thinks is commenting. So, woodysbetty and coffeegirl were both locked out. I'm guessing Tracie went on another 'press delete' spree. Can you imagine how many innocent followers in the group were kicked out? WTF. Bad business practices, again. Now these folks don't listen to the podcast and can't even follow the shenanigans. They can't even be swayed into joining the podcast subscription crowd by all those fawning and stanning hard. How stupid is Tracie? I bet you there are a few ladies who might have joined the pay-for-your-listening-"pleasure" that got ousted. So, so silly.

Sorry, I should have clarified. The podcast has gone to a paid subscription, not their FB page. I was referring to the “listening to” part of the post; she may be able to see who is paying for the podcast vs the people in the FB group.

Well yes, she=, in theory, would have access to names. BUT only if the names match the FB accounts. My cards wouldn't. And the person I was asking asked if she would know if she unsubbed. No, she will not know. iTunes (or whatever she is using to see her numbers) would only see that the numbers went down. iTunes does not give the creator of content the names of people who subscribe to her podcast. The Facebook group is free and has been standing at 9381 for a while now. That’s unusual.
The Podcast is fee-based now ($5 a mo) through Podbean. There appear to be approx 800 subscribers.

The FB group is now down to 9,376 members. Tracie banning erybody up in there. Or people are moving on. Tracie doesn't need them anyway! Hairflip.
Only 800 subbers to the new podcast. Looks like it is not quite the cash cow that Tracie imagined. Womp womp. Time for a real job.

$4,000 pre-tax split between her and Tiffany does she not seem like the windfall Tracie imagined when she was throwing out the number of downloads and FB followers. I don't see her continuing the podcast for $2,000 minus expenses per month but we'll see.

I don't see her continuing the podcast for $2,000 minus expenses per month but we'll see. I think that's an incredible amount of money per month for basically doing zero research, zero preparation, zero work. I'd thank my lucky stars if I got that amount of money for meeting up with one of my besties and just blabbing on about my life, my nothingburger opinions and me. Actually, I'd be freakishly scared and probably would delete my online presence and fade away while doing some serious thinking about my ego (or I hope I would).
In the world of indie podcasting, T+T are banking big time! Several high quality podcasts I follow are making significantly less, actually.
Disclaimer: I'm about to give some comparison points using podcasts I actually follow and/or support financially. I'm going to have the most wonderful time picking mostly from the American atheist podcasts I follow just because... And by because, I mean Tracie's high moral horse of me-the-Christian-for-who-God-came-through-and-provided-miracles-like-the-magical-settling-of-the-allegedly-protruding-pacemaker. Let me have some fun with this... Oh, y'all know Tracie is still reading on here. Be my guest, Tray-Tray, gossip away. "IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!" And in case anyone was wondering, the atheist community is far larger than the SB community.
1. Great indie philosophy podcasts like Embrace the Void ($576 for 96 patrons/month) and Philosophers in Space make so much less (and one of the hosts is a full-time podcaster)! And still, they offer the main weekly podcast for free and soldier on, doing research and using their actual academic knowledge to launch interesting discussions. That's a Philosophy university professor taking the time every week to do two podcasts for basically pocket change.
2. One of the most recognised and beloved liberal, progressive, atheist indie podcasts in the world makes $2,259/month! Cognitive Dissonance has been around for years and keeps putting out free weekly content through the entire year that requires keeping up to date and research. This is how two best friends get together and do proper work! 3. In terms of doing little work, let me point out Citation Needed AKA pee-in-my-pants humour about reading one single Wikipedia page on a subject and then pretending to know everything about it ("Because this is the Internet and that's how it works now.") They bring in $2,633/month and have their hosts do more work than T+T by actually reading a Wikipedia page in full every week... I mean, come on! They are openly mocking themselves for not doing more research than reading the freakin' Wiki page. It's the whole point of that show! 4. God Awful Movies currently rakes in $3,053 per month (for over 2000 patrons! It just happens most of us have to cap our monthly amount because we're not exactly rich either). Two (if not all three?) hosts are full-time podcasters. They have to actually sit through bad religious movies to critique them. Yah, that's dedication.
You know what? Those full-time indie podcasters juggle four to five different podcasts a week to make ends meet. They do not live comfortably. They do not aspire to make big bucks. They want to continue to inform while entertaining people. They're on the forefront doing hard work. I admire these podcasters. It takes a lot of hours and a lot of real-life sacrifices to step into this line of work. This whole $4000 a month for T+T is making me want to seriously consider adding an extra podcast to support on Patreon. That's how pissed off I am at this stupid easy money their stans keep throwing at them. They just don't deserve it, sorry. *steps off soapbox*

I remember us talking about her changing her Instagram name to Tracie Claiborne Creates. Did we know she still maintains a private (only 36 followers) personal account as well? I think this is interesting. As someone who puts all her personal business online for the world to consume, why is she suddenly wanting privacy for her personal side?
