I’m still getting my new scraproom finally organized since we moved 2 months ago. My problem seems to be little things. My desk has piles on it for things I don’t have a place for. Ephemera for layouts I want to do, photos from events I printed, but aren’t ready to use.
I’m working on getting a couple cubbies free in my ikea cubes for “in progress” things. Thinking these spots might be the place for this stuff I don’t know what to do with.
Otherwise, thanks to my move, I’m fairly organized at the moment...

Have to confess I have trouble with all the above. But I really don't have a handle on the photos on my desk top either. I really to try and put them in specifically named files but there is not enough room to give them a really good name that I recognize the next time I look for them. So many times I go to look to reprint a photo and can't find it. Within my photo library, I have a folder for each year. (labeled with the year name except that the current year I label 1_2018 so it sorts at the top)
Within each year folder, I have event folders (labeled with the date and a brief description 2018_07_27 Summer Camp Day 5 for instance). That's usually enough information for me.
I do have folders of older (vintage) photos that I don't have specific dates for. The main folder is labeled with the source (vintage photos_Jane Doe) and then I'll put subfolders as they make sense (Susan Doe or 1960s or 1958_12 Christmas) and if I can identify any of the people, I add that to the photo name (IMG_004 JohnDoe Jane Doe)

I have a work in progress album (3-ring) for stuff like that - I use page protectors and slip photos or memorabilia etc...in by layout (or event)

Photos! Culling them down from each event, organizing them on my computer, editing them, printing them out in the correct sizes, trying to predict what sizes I'm going to want for a layout I haven't even started to plan, then finding the best deal to actually print them... Ugh. Saps my scrapping mojo right away. I'm with you too! My photos are such a mess. All my recent years are sorted and mostly scrapped. But when I go back just a few more years into my kids' childhoods, they're a total disaster. They came from several different cameras, were taken by multiple photographers in multiple households, in both digital and film. I thought I had them mostly under control until I was gifted tons more from my mother when she cleaned house. They're a complete mess. I don't remember what I've scrapped, what's a duplicate, and what's still to do. Me too! I cleaned out a cupboard recently and am in the same situation. I am a CM consultant's dream come true right now.

My kryptonite is the die cuts you buy from manufacturers that go with the collections.

Just getting my layouts into books. For some reason I just can't get that part together. PL cards... I don't like how they are right now.. so keeping my eye out on something.. I like that organizer above!! But I would want one big enough for all my cards. It would drive me crazy to have them in different places.

Recently I've acquired more washi tape than I've ever had in the past, so I now have enough that I need to actually - GASP - organize it! When I only had 2-3 rolls of it, I just stacked them on a little tool shelf that stays right on my craft desk. They were always easily accessible. Now that I have too many to fit there, I'll need to figure out a new storage solution. I don't have enough to justify getting one of those large organizers (plus they take up so much space), so I might re-purpose something around the house to store/dispense them. Grab a large wooden embroidery hoop from Wal-Mart for about $3, open the top, and slide the rolls of washi on it. I hang my "washi wreath" above my desk on a command hook.

Well I could say everything! 🙄 I am in the process of reorganizing my room right now. And my biggest problem I am realizing is paper. I know how I want to organize it. It’s just a matter of doing it. My next problem is photos and memorabilia. My next problem Is to make sure that when I am done with a project; I put everything away before I leave my desk. Because that is where I have really run into problems.

I'm actually a bit of a freak about my supplies so those are pretty organized but my photos especially my digital ones ugh are a mess.
I'm slowly organizing them but right now my focus is scanning and printing my pre digital photos.

My problem is not the organizing of my studio, it's the keeping it organized part that's hard to do. Do I see an amen?

The ephemera die cuts. I redid them last week in some containers that I think are promising- they’re divided and stack! I took this pic for a group I’m in, but I’ll share here too. (I’m mainly a pocket scrapper so my stash will be small to most of you!) I bought two more of these yesterday that will stack onto the smaller ones. They’re tactix brand and just from an Aussie hardware store.

My kryptonite is the die cuts you buy from manufacturers that go with the collections. I stock up on these when they have the 2/$1 sale. I put a label on the side with the specific collection name or the theme if I have a lot of one theme. Right now they take up two shelves of my Raskog cart. I put a sticky note with the paper collection reminding me that I have the embellishments for the particular line. www.google.com/shopping/product/1526828880484332569?lsf=seller:7933,store:14394555911707135396&prds=oid:6546563702665782029&q=office+depot+plastic+envelopes+10%22&hl=en&ei=ixVpW_NY553SAoLPqbAH&lsft=cm_mmc:PLA-_-Google-LIA-_-870881909-_-1402138&lsft=gclid:Cj0KCQjw45_bBRD_ARIsAJ6wUXQJxcvT8pOExLxi6fes0FdhxToBf-9NAdemyx4ruVwQGfoLt0vR8McaAtLuEALw_wcB

I saw a scrapbooker organize her embellishments, dies cuts etc in one of the Iris Photo Cases. It has 16 4x6 photo boxes within the big box. I thought it was genius. I had already started putting my project life wood veneers, ephemera, etc in these case. But her system looked pretty organized (and labeled)! Michaels had these cases on special for $10 a couple of weeks ago.
Now if I could keep my supplies in just one box.
My Project Life Card fit in 2 of the plastic Ikea inserts that fit the raskog cart. All of my Project Life is in one Raskog cart.

They have some small rainbow drawers that contain my enamel dots and gems sorted by color too.

I organize my smaller embellishments by color.

Oh my gosh, photos!!! I have so many printed out (remember the days of film??), many more on various devices and a whole bunch on DVDs (during one of my many "I'm going to get organized" phases...).
I don't even want to mention the photos that I've inherited from my Mom, mother-in-law and great aunt... boxes and boxes of 'em....
I am usually an organizer-extraordinaire. I actually LIKE to organize my scrap room and all of my goodies..... except photos. For some reason I just freeze when I think about having to organize those...
