I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes, but I thought we should start a new thread since the old one is 87 pages long. I wanted to start with a review of the It Cosmetics matte CC cream. I have used it for three days and really like it. So far it seems to last longer than the original version (on my skin). It really doesn't seem matte at all, though. I am glad it isn't super flat, but I do have quite a bit of shine or "glow" that comes through. I've also changed my skincare routine a little. I have started double cleansing. I had a small size of Josie Maran cleansing oil so I use that then follow with a liquid cleanser (either Cerave foaming cleanser or It confidence in a cleanser). At night I am using Retin-A (just started back with this after giving up my current Curology formula)--I use this every other night, Estee Lauder Advanced night repair, then I've been trying a facial oil (currently using a sample of DE marula oil) and eye cream (currently using a sample of Confidence in an eye cream). For daytime I use Maelove glow activation serum, Bye Bye Lines, Bye Bye Undereye cream. Right now I feel like I am starting to break out a little. Not sure if it is hormonal or due to the oils? We will see.

I love It Cosmetics CC Cream. I have been using it for about a year and a half. It's made such a difference in my appearance. I apply with a beauty blend sponge. I use the It Cosmetics Bye Bye redness cream first, then the CC.
I haven't tried anything new lately, so nothing to contribute as far as new products.
But, I did pick up an old favorite at a great price. Ulta had the NYX Lip Lingerie 3 for $12. They are usually $6.99 each. I like the color "embellishment". I apply it on my whole lip and put my lipstick over it. It helps my lipstick last longer.
Looking forward to reading, what new products everyone's tried.

I like this idea. Let’s use this thread now.
I use IT CC cream and have good luck with it. I find I need a lot of it to get good coverage. I hate the smell but the coverage is nice and the smell goes away quickly.
I am loving my new IT powder brush. It is very dome shaped and it has a really short handle but it is awesome.

So today Angie from Hot and Flashy was talking about the stuff she likes from Amazon and I really don’t like the fuzzy stuff on my face so I ordered the rechargeable shaver from Amazon.com. That hair has got to go. I am sure I have more than I am willing to admit. It is all being removed.

I posted this in the old thread, but since it was one of the last posts there on page 87, I thought I would repost here.
I couldn't resist the 25% off sale on the Tarte website and placed an order yesterday. I am late to the party, but I have wanted the Tartelette in Bloom eyeshadow palette for sometime now. So I ordered that, another tarte blush, and a lipstick. I can't wait for them to arrive and to try them out.
Thank you peachiceteas for the recommendation for Origins drink-up intensive cream. I picked up a tube from Ulta on the weekend, and already I can see a difference in my skin. I really enjoy the scent as well as how it makes my skin feel.

Over-cleaning (cleansing) your face can rob the natural oils that your skin needs. Have you ever taken a break from all of tis cleansing and not wearing makeup for about 1 week. Your natural skin needs to breathe, and pores get clogged up with so much product being used. Thanks for starting the new thread! I use a combo of It bye bye redness and the regular cc cream. I think I think combined with my rimmel stay matte primer it’s the best my skin/foundation has looked. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the matte cc cream. I watch a few video reviews and they sounded similar to what you are reporting- less shines/oily, but certainly not matte. I still have plenty of both of my It products left so I will hang with what’s working for me for now. My cleansing routine has been: Clinique take the day off balm, followed by a swipe of micellar water on a cotton round followed by cerave hydrating facial cleanser and hen toner. Then I moisturize. Currently switching between neutragena rapid wrinkle repair and IT cosmetics secret sauce. couldn’t resist the name! New products: I’ve been buying a lot lately and getting into makeup and skin care so it seems like everything is new, but I guess newest is my d-bronze from drunk elephant - got a free mini tube from an online Sephora order. You mix it with a bit of moisturizer (I used sunscreen) and instant tan/bronze. Go light- lots of pigment!! I wore that with no foundation for a weekend look and quite enjoyed the lightness while still feeling covered enough. I also just got the park ave princess chisel kit from tarte using some rewards I had and some It costometics eyeshawow brushes. Like the brushes a lot and the chisel pallet is so pretty!

I am seriously doing the least amount of face steps right now and my skin is absolutely loving it!
I wash my face with cold water when I get up. Add moisturizer. At night, I remove my make up with Clinique Take The Day Off. Splash face with cool water, and let it air dry. Then I add my curology and eye cream. Wait a couple minuets (while I am brushing my teeth) then add a night time moisturizer.
My redness is almost all gone. And my acne is getting better. Not sure if thats because of the curology or what, but I am liking the results.

We will see. I just started the double cleansing, but it seems to be pretty common now. The idea is that the oil based cleanser breaks down excess oil and makeup and then the water based cleanser gets the rest. So far my skin has been feeling very good. Much more supple, soft and moisturized. I just noticed a few small spots on my nose tonight but I am due for my period in a few days so it could be that rather than the oils. I have a lot of redness in my skin which is part of the reason I added the facial oils. If I could get that to tone down, I would be much happier with my bare skin.

Buying. Pretty. Palettes. Lol I am with you; though I am not new to makeup, I am new to high end make up. In February I purchased the ABH Modern Renaissance, and I LOVE it! It changed the ballgame for me. Then I bought the Too Faced natural eyes palette and really like it too, though I like the ABH better. Maybe I have lucked out, but I find these palettes, and I am sure the Tartelette in Bloom, just apply and blend so well. It is so much easier for me to create an eye look with these highly pigmented high quality shades. I have pretty much thrown out all my old eye shadows now. They were rather old and cheap drugstore brands. The difference is night and day for me. I have purchased some newer Milani eyeshadows (you tube recommendations) and honestly I am on the fence about them. I have an all matte palette and in the most part they work ok. But then I have a couple of their shimmer shades and they seem to have glitter pieces in them, and I just don't care for glitter. Having said that I do love a good shimmer/frost shade. Within the past 6 months I have watched many youtube videos and have learned a lot. I will say that my eye makeup is better than it was but I still have much to learn, and to practice.

Oh y'all.......
I am so glad we started a new thread! I could not keep up!!
I am needing a new makeup mirror very soon. My new "diva desk" is due to arrive any day now. I ordered a Micke desk from Ikea for a little vanity space. I cannot wait but I'm going to need a mirror now since I'll be moving out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I need to make room for the new dh and the hall bath just isn't cutting it for him. I found what appears to be a nice mirror but that sucker is about $175 and I just can't do it! What mirror are you using? And do you have pics of your vanity / organization set up? I cannot wait to get mine started!!!
My next purchases will be some new blush and face primer. Setting mist will be soon too. I keep watching videos on YT and i have a quite a list going of things I want to buy. I'm going to have start working one extra shift per pay period just for a "beauty budget!"

Ok I tried double cleansing tonight for something to do. The first product was Tatcha cleansing oil and the second was Estée Lauder foaming cleanser. I still have half a bottle of it left and want to use it up. My skin feels extremely clean but kind of tight. I will apply my Tatcha Water Cream next. It does feel super clean.

Double cleansing has been a game changer for me. I used to not cleanse at all and my skin suffered for it. Now I do the 10 step Korean skin care routine and my skin has improved dramatically. At first I was afraid 10 steps would be 9 steps too many to keep consistent but it's so fast and easy. And it's ok to skip steps once I learned what my skin needed, it's ok to give it a break every now and then. My skin is very sensitive to what I eat, greasy foods show up almost instantly on my face haha.. but my new skin care routine has helped keep it from turning into a full on break out. My skin is smooth and soft, my dark circles are reducing and I'm happy with my routine.

Delta Dawn Fix plus is a good finishing spray but I don’t consider it a setting spray. It doesn’t set my make up and keep it there like UD All Nighter does, but Fix+ is perfect for adding hydration back into the skin and reducing powderyness/caking of foundation. I like to use it between layers to keep my skin hydrated.

I also double cleanse. I use elemis cleansing balm to takeoff my make up and then either elemis tri enzyme wash or Dior hydra life foam cleanser
At the moment my skin looks amazing, it’s never been this good, I think it’s the Dior skincare

I also double cleanse - I use either the make-up remover wipes, a micelar water, cleansing balm, or a facial oil for the first step, and Tatcha, Philosophy or Origins checks & balances cleanser with my clarisonic. I also got a Foreo luna in my fff box, but haven't tried it yet.
I have the Tartelette in bloom and toasted palettes mentioned above, and like and use both.
I haven't been wearing much make=up this summer, because it's too hot and my face sweats, then I look like hell. Just mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipstick, along with a shortened skincare routine. Once the weather starts cooling off, I'll go back to wearing a full face. Last week we were out at the lake and I used absolutely nothing. Not even mascara.

I am a fan of IT. The CC foundation is good coverage. However, I started getting samples from the monthly Sephora Play! Box and discovered Forever Makeup HD foundation.,,love it. Not nearly so glossy as CC and looks really good. Whether I use CC or HD, I finish it off with the Bye Bye Pores white powder. I also am addicted to the rotating battery power makeup brushes. Your foundation goes much farther with them. Also, the It Bye Bye Under eye is the very best concealer...I use it not only under my eyes but on my nose. Love BECCA highlighters.

Another sample from Sephora that I love is AmorePacific Enzyme Peel. It’s very gentle and you use about a dime size amount. Leaves my skin feeling great. Sephora sent the little tiny vial of it and I’ve washed my face with it the last 15 days and still have about a third left,
