I don’t feel that well. I like Tatcha and it makes me feel good. Solution was to buy the rice polish. Then I needed the Laneige cushion foundation. I have watched several videos on it and I want to try it. Problem solved. I also got the Bobbi Brown primer. I really needed the sample sized shampoos by Alterna. I needed it today.

I have been using the It matte CC cream all week and really love it. I tend to have oily skin, especially on my nose. Here we are 6 hours in and the makeup still looks perfect with no oil!

Ok I tried double cleansing tonight for something to do. The first product was Tatcha cleansing oil and the second was Estée Lauder foaming cleanser. I still have half a bottle of it left and want to use it up. My skin feels extremely clean but kind of tight. I will apply my Tatcha Water Cream next. It does feel super clean. Double cleansing has been a game changer for me. I used to not cleanse at all and my skin suffered for it. Now I do the 10 step Korean skin care routine and my skin has improved dramatically. At first I was afraid 10 steps would be 9 steps too many to keep consistent but it's so fast and easy. And it's ok to skip steps once I learned what my skin needed, it's ok to give it a break every now and then. My skin is very sensitive to what I eat, greasy foods show up almost instantly on my face haha.. but my new skin care routine has helped keep it from turning into a full on break out. My skin is smooth and soft, my dark circles are reducing and I'm happy with my routine. I do the ten step cleansing method as well, and have been for at least a year. Like you, I was afraid of so many steps, but I’ve got the whole thing down to a science now. It’s really made a difference in my skin.

I googled the 10 step Korean skin care routine and I've been hearing about essence but still don't get the purpose of that product? I also hate sheet masks, I'd rather use a regular mask out a jar, but don't understand why you'd need one in the morning? That has to make the whole process very long in addition to waiting for your skin to absorb all the products.

I've never heard of using a sheet mask or any mask in the morning or even more than a few times a week at most. A ten-step routine doesn't mean you use all ten products every time.

I've been double cleansing with the Julep Bare Your Face Oil and then cleansing with Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser. I usually use the Glycolic Toner afterwards. Then I use The Ordinary Retinol 5% every other night and the Glycolic Serum. In the morning I use the Enzyme cleanser, the Glycolic Toner, The Ordinary Niamicide and The Ordinary Buffet. I use Bare Minerals Longevity Vital Power Serum in the morning.
I'm ahem, older 48 this year. Last year my skin was so dry I couldn't do much to get moisture in. Now it's back to it's oiler self this summer.
I've tried the IT CC Cream, Lancolm Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear, Tarte Clay Stick, Hourglass Hydrolaunic Skin Tint, Make up Forever Matte Foundation, BareMinerals Skin Brightening Serum Foundation. None of them seem to fit me for more than a month.
Any suggestions? My skin is oily to combination currently. I don't like to feel over made up and don't like thick full coverage foundations. I don't have a lot of skin texture, some redness in the front of the cheek by my nose. I think part of my issue is that I get sun randomly all summer and don't like when the shade doesn't match my skintone.

Anyone tried the Tarte Flirt palette? I was at Ulta today and they were sitting on the end of register- looked like someone had started unpacking them. I wanted to ask to open one and look but didn't want to hold up the line. Is it new?

I vary my routine depending on what's going on during the day but it's all part of the 10 step Korean skin care.
I'll start with my night routine because that one is usually more steps. p.m. Oil cleanser - Boscia makeup break up Foaming cleanse - Mario Badescu enzyme gel cleanser Tone with Glycolic Acid Toner by MB Essence - Black Tea Kombucha facial treatment essence by fresh Bioperformance Glow Revival serum by Shiseido Eye cream - white Lucent anti dark circles by Shiseido Tatcha water cream for moisturizer Once a week or so I'll do a mask, usually something by Mario Badescu
a.m. Quick swipes with toner Essence and serum Eye cream and water cream Sunscreen
It's a lot easier than I originally feared. I'm looking for a different toner and serum to change it up a little. My pores aren't changing as much as I'd hoped.

shevyI use IT cosmetics powder foundation. Love it. Not to heavy, buildable coverage, and controls my shine very well for hours. I'm not a fan of liquid foundations but I love this compact powder foundation. I use an ULTA brand dense domed brush to apply and it works great.

I started using the following products several weeks ago. I enjoy using them - they smell and feel nice, but I can't really tell if they are improving the look of my skin. I am 47, fair complected, have some acne redness and usually have a blemish or two, among some weird age related blemishes. My skin feels better, just not sure it looks better.
Banila Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Cosrx AhA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner Cosrx Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap
Banila recently redid their Clean It Zero formulation. The container I am finishing now is the old formula. I'm excited to try the new formula, I have one waiting in the wings.
My routine has been backwards due to shear laziness.
AM... all four PM... toner and lotion
I have been using miss spa clear blemish patches w/ salicylic acid for fresh, non-eruptive acne and COSRX Patch Anti-acne Facial Treatment patches for acne that needs to be, shall we say, de-gunked. I really like both of them, and they seem to work well.
I am keeping a list of things I want to try in Google Keep and will be adding some more products from this thread. Thank you, everyone, for your input!
I am particularly interested in the AMOREPACIFIC Treatment Enzyme Peel. Is Sephora generally able to give you a sample?

Morning: 1) I cleanse with It Confidence in a cleanser and my Clarisonic. 2) Use a cotton pad and use L’Oréal hydrating toner. 3) use another cotton pad to apply ELF essence 4) apply serious skin care vitamin C eye gel. 5) apply ROC correxion serum 6) apply cetaphil day lotion. 7) apply Olay moisturizer with SPF 8) apply face makeup, if I’m wearing any that day. Night: 1) wash face using Burt’s bees cleansing oil. Then all the same steps as listed above, except instead of using cetaphil day lotion and Olay lotion, I use the cetaphil night cream and then LXMI pure nilotica melt. One a week I use a facial mask.

Here’s my new diva desk. I felt so frivolous getting ready for work this morning. This is the IKEA Micke desk and a Nills stool. The desk inserts came from Target and IKEA. The mirror is the Simple Human sensor 5x mirror. I gotta say that 5x mirror makes me wonder if my makeup always looked like sh!t or if my application was a bit hurried today. Holy pores, Batman! Anyway, I am sure I’ll make a few changes here and there but so far everything came together pretty nicely for me. I’m super excited to not have to be drying my hair in my hot ass bathroom anymore.

I have a few items that I don't know if I should keep or get rid of....
I have a brand new "facial sauna" that DH gave me for my birthday several years ago. When I was a teen, I used to steam my face in the sink with boiling water and a towel over my head. I haven't done this in probably 25 years. Is this something that I should start using?
Hot rollers--Haven't used in 20 years. I am thinking get rid of them, but what do you guys think?
Kids' humidifier--again, probably going to get rid of this but will I regret it? Haven't used it for years. When the kids are sick now, I usually put an oil diffuser in their room instead of the humidifier.
I have decided that for every item I buy, I need to get rid of two or more similar items. If I want to buy a shirt--I know that I need to get rid of two if I decide to buy it. If I want to buy a hair product, I know that if I get it, I need to get rid of two. That goes for any type of item, not just clothes or beauty items. And I am working on using and trying products that I have before buying something else. We have soooo much stuff, from food to clothes to toiletries, etc. I just cleaned the bathroom and am going to work on the grocery list/meal plan for the week with the intention of trying to buy as little as possible.

In high school and college I had a plug in desk steamer and would steam my face every week, haven't done so since. When I make pasta and open the lid I think I'm getting a 5 second steam, but how long was your steam? Seems a bit dangerous that way? I think the purpose of steaming is to make it easy to pick out the blackheads. I've seen on youtube that hot rollers are still a thing. Gretchen from the real housewives curls her hair that way. I use a humidifier in my bedroom in the wintertime because it prevents me from having a stuffy nose from the dry air in the morning. It's a lot of work to clean it every week and put water in it nightly. It's also supposed to help with static electricity, my bedroom is carpeted so I can often get shocked when I hit the light switch without the humidifier on. One year I set a goal of not buying any hair products for a year because I wanted to empty some bottles and ended up going 18 months without buying anything! I also have the rule of one shirt in one shirt out.

I also have the rule of one shirt in one shirt out. Wow! 18 months?! That is great. I could easily go that long and not run out of products but I am always tempted to try something new. I really need to cut down on the amount of stuff we have, though, so I am going to try really hard to not only not buy new things but get rid of things as well. I had about five sets of shampoo/conditioner in the shower because I was trying to find one that would work miracles. Nothing has so I put all but one set away and am going to use that until it’s gone. If I use the same shampoo and conditioner daily I will also be able to make more progress testing the hair products that I have since I will be better able to notice what the product is doing to my hair if the other stuff is consistent. I’m not sure how long the facial sauna is. I will have to look at it more closely.

I really liked the warm colors. Will totally use a lot in rotation and convinced me I need the tarts toasted which is similar colors.

Hi everyone, my Sephora stuff got here this morning. I ordered yesterday. Cool! Ok I got the Tatcha rice cleanser. It makes a mess but is very nice and my skin felt great.
Laneige cushion foundation is on is quite amazing. It smells lovely and I feel *extra*wearing it. It has nice coverage and it breathes nicely. I like the cushion application and I am not sure what else to say other than it’s cool.
I have ave been loving two Primers. The Tatcha one last week and this one is Porefessional. Both are really good.
I haven’t tried the Bobbi Brown primer but I am tomorrow.
I used some some points and got large travel sized shampoo and conditioner as well as spray in conditioner and leave in conditioner. Anyway I love it as I am using it in the shower now. This was a perfect opportunity. I also got a sample Too Faced liquid lip in Queen B and I did not know I look good in mauve. I thought it looked great. It lasted for hours, too. I got an email yesterday with the code in it.
Yay!

I must have gotten an extra thick thing of It Cosmetics CC Cream. I can't stand it, it's too thick! It looks like I have foundation caked on. But it gets so many great reviews, I think it's the particular one I have. I wish our Ulta had more helpful sales people who could help me pick out a good foundation. They don't seem very willing to help, maybe because I usually go in not wearing much makeup! They probably think I am a waste of time and won't buy expensive make up because I'm not wearing any!

You should come to my ulta. It’s almost comical how Many people try to help you while there. Every section is staffed with someone and as I moved from place to place last week I got asked if I needed help 5 times in about 1 minute. I’m sorry you don’t like the cc cream. What do you normally wear that’s thinner? I just use a very small amount and use and It cosmetic brush to apply. Can you try adding a little bit of a thin mosturizer to it so it’s a little thinner and easier to apply?

What a great idea! I bought a 10X magnifying mirror last winter because I couldn't see to put on make up when my contacts were in. The 10X is a little strong, 5x sounds like it would be much better. I didn't think I had many eyelashes on the bottom because I couldn't see them. Then I tried my 10X mirror and there they were! I hadn't worn mascara in so long, so it's nice to try to wear it again.

I used to be very into make up before I had kids, and loved Clinique. Now I would love to start wearing make up again, but feel clueless about where to start. The last time I used foundation was a Clinique one about 15 yrs. ago! I did buy a Clairisonic foundation brush to hook to my daughter's clairisonic. Maybe the CC cream is too thick to use with clairisonic? Or maybe it's too old? I am guilty of buying lots of make up, then getting overwhelmed by not knowing how to use it, and it just sits in the closet with so many scrapbook supplies I buy and never use! I will try using moisturizer with it. Thanks for the idea!

I’ve been using the Ulta brand of rapid tanning foam this summer and I really like it. Downside it actually isn’t that “rapid” I didn’t get enough color with just an hour of application, so I put it on at night and sleep with it on. I lay down a towel so I don’t mess up my sheets. The color lasts about a week and looks very natural. I apply it with a tanning mitt and have to have my husband’s help getting my back.

This looks awesome! Really love it. I’m going t have to figure the measurements for this desk and see if it would fit in my master closet in this little cubby - t would be so perfect! And I want that mirror!!!! Seems like a good thing to put on my Christmas list. Is there another choice on it besides 5x? it is 29" wide. I didn't measure the depth. It is marketed as a computer desk and does have the cut out for wires and cables. The drawer is full width and deep enough for my UD palettes to lie in there in their side if that gives you an idea of the depth of the drawer space. It comes with directions to put that solid end on either side. I am glad I did mine this way because of my cords. I have not seen the mirror in any other magnification but I didn't look too hard either. Now I want a travel mirror. I'm already spoiled with this one. I got really hooked on sitting down to do my makeup at this one hotel. I had stayed there twice before with my dd for soccer and then my dh went down for a conference and it was in the same hotel and I got to use their little portable travel mirror at the desk. That's where the ball got rolling for me! I have shopped for 2 months for a nice vanity / desk for my little room. My home was built in 1950 so the bathroom is tiny and so is the room. My guess is the room was built with a double sized bed in mind and a small dresser or chest and not a big queen sized bed and other big pieces. I have zero storage in that room so my laundry hamper (a big Longaberger one) that used to sit there which is right outside the bathroom so it will take a lot of getting used to having the hamper behind the door on the other side of the room.
