That’s standard weather where I come from. We wouldn’t get anything done if we stayed inside every time it got wet and windy😂
But you can’t leave a cart in the parking lot on a day like that. It would wreak havoc

Been there, done that! My first job was at a grocery store. One day it was raining so hard, the electric doors wouldn't close, so the entry (Between the 2 sets of doors) was flooded. We (The sackers) had to go retrieve the baskets that started flying across the parking lot in order to keep them from slamming into people's cars. NOT fun. I hated it when people made me push their groceries out in the rain.

There was also a time that I went to the Walmart Neighborhood Market to get dog food. I got the biggest bag they had. While I was in there, a storm blew through like the one in the video. It was pitch black out. It knocked out the power (IT was pitch black in there, too!), rendering the cash registers unusable. It came back on, then went out, again, twice. By the time I was finally able to get through check out, it was still pouring outside. Stupid me put the HUGE bag of food (At least 33 lbs) IN the cart, instead of under it. I was not working out at the time, so I was a weeny. LOL Not only did I have to get the bag out of the cart, but I had to do it while it was wet, and I was drenched. That bag was a slippery booger! It took me forever to get it out. I was one unhappy camper!
