My take on Sketch #2. A 6x8 layout. It was a little harder to do on a small page - looks a little crowded. The old items are the flair and wood veneer. It's a rainy day here in Florida so hard to get a clearer picture. 5945DA57-ECDC-4290-82B9-B7875F733BE3 by lisa h, on Flickr I'm so sorry justlisa7 I totally skipped commenting on you yesterday cause I thought I'd do it in the sketch thread and then I didn't and then I felt horrible that I'd missed you completely! Sorry about that. I love the pics and the wood veneer and that little turquoise heart makes me very happy (I love turquoise). Great LO and that was a long time to have Sophie, I'm so sorry for your loss, it sucks so bad losing a pet And really, a rainy day in Florida? I didn't know such a thing existed!

woodysbetty Wonderful LO, I adore your little clusters of flowers and the spots, chevrons and florals look lush! msliz I think I've commented on your white space LO already but it's definitely got enough white space for the #45 challenge point. I love all the stripes of different papers, it's lush! And you should get a Donna equation as well with the white background, doodling and one word title I love TestTrack, the doodling is awesome, way to go! The pop of blue is lush too. I love your grid LO for sketch 2, it's so pretty and I love the Nuvos! I just love that yellow gingham paper with the flower on, it's so pretty! Oh justlisa7 your DLO just makes me gasp outloud, it's soooooooo pretty! Love your embellishing, it's just stunning and all that is needed to show off that lush picture. I am loving seeing your work, I'm glad you're sharing Great work on the dinosaurs pages Linda , your LO is perfect and really makes all the photos pop perfectly. I love 48 and that is dedication to make the border with your Cropodile! Way to go. I also love the CHS page too, that is some busy paper but you've made it work perfectly with the balance of the photo, awesome work. nylene what a fab LO, I totally love those dots on the 8, they're lush! The border is amazing as well, I love that! JaneB wow, 100 layers, how the heck did you keep track! I do love some layers but when it gets out of hand I'm putting them in groups so I can hide and see easier lol! It was worth the work, your desktop artwork looks A-Maz-ing! I love it all, the pumpkins, the circle paper, the stitched circle and the swirls, it's gert lush it is! patin that is a gorgeous LO, VBS, I love the big top on the left and you used a moustache and it fits perfectly, way to go! If I have ignored anyone it's probably because I've commented on your LO somewhere else.... or I'm just useless and I'm very sorry!

well between fighting with the Cricut and SCAL and the sketch itself...this one has taken the better part of a day to complete (sketchember 5) - the enamal dots are actually the same green as the doily and strips but the scanner hates dots.

One I finished today. Keeping my daughters wedding album simple and pretty - no journaling as it is for her. I love this photo of her surrounded by her bridesmaids in the room they got ready at the ranch. We had so much fun together. My sister and mom were there also and it was a special time. 327C816F-AD75-4036-ABDC-98CC134FD526 by lisa h, on Flickr

I did another desktop with Sketchtember #5 I thought with a fairly simple sketch it wouldn't take me too long... And then I went a bit daft! The little gap to the left is where my Windows bar sits, I got it wrong the first time and covered up Boo! Supplies from all over the place but mainly Wicked Halloween 2017 Bundle from The Hungry JPEG which has graphics from around 8 different designers. Lots of recolouring to make it all work, but it looks bloomin' fantastic on my screen And here's the "kit" I pulled together, so I could do that challenge...
Challenges: Sketchtember #4 (no twist), no patterned paper, border punch drunk, mat it, stars, white space, make your own kit.
This afternoon I tackled Sketchtember #5 and reduced the template to fit a card: I think I still have last month's challenges in my head because I thought I could claim for using two PL cards The two cards are from Ali Edwards' Light, and everything else is Shabby Princess. I did draw the arrow myself
Challenges: Sketchtember #5 (no twist), oh brad!, shiny things.

Boy, it doesn't take long to get behind on commenting on the many great layouts posted here. Wow, I am loving them. Linda , I love your background paper on your CHS B-ball page. Perfect for High School activities. Fun close ups. Are they selfies? I love the circles above the photo in your Catnap page. I hope you don't mind if I scraplift it. Love your 8.5x11's that give me new ideas. Those colors are so perfect for your photo. Love it! Great job on your Super Power page. I love the rounded strips and the colors that match that fancy cape. Makes me smile. I love teachers who make a big deal of reading!! LOL, I chuckled out loud at the sentiment on your I Love My Cat page. Love the design. Another great one as inspiration for me! justlisa7 , that is the most beautiful photo of your daughter in her wedding dress. You have used just the perfect amount of embellishment to let that photo stand center stage. Love those buttons. JaneB , I don't even know what to say about your 100 layers. You are so amazing and this is such a beautiful desktop. I wouldn't want to EVER change it. I have a hard enough time doing a couple of layers on my Silhouette and usually mess that up a time or two. You must have the best concentration in the world. Gorgeous work!! I love your Halloween desktop too. Do you do one for each month? Wow, you are a hard-core scrapper. Love the hand reaching up. Just so much fun. Does it have a billion layers too? Your card has such a fun sunshine color and I love the sentiment. That's a great take on the #5 sketch. Amazing. patin , what fun you must have at VBS. I love the Circus theme and love, love, love the tent shaped advertisement and your name tag. Such cute little tags. Wonderful page! stinkerbelle , that's a great 6x12 page. I love the pink and black and the script paper behind the photos. The stars lead the eye from the photos right to that big title. Love it. I spotted your "Lesbian photos" in the gallery and left love the other day. What a story! I'm glad you scrapped it. Your graduation page has so much energy. It's obvious that they are excited about finishing school. Love the colors and the dots on your circle. Fabulous. DawnMcD , I love your Jordanelle page. It's fun to look at photos here and recognize the scenery! What a gorgeous day you chose to get into that cold water. The sky looks gorgeous. Love the "wave" paper and the stitching you did. Great use of the triangles. Very classy. Ah, msliz, I love your Carnival. Love the striped papers and the way you did the title. Your dots and brads down the side are the perfect accent. I'm glad it was fun to make because it has such a fun theme.

gramma , I don't know why you aren't in love with these pages. I love the look of the fringe, the beautiful colors and the movement those hearts add. The big arrow is perfect. The layered border across both pages looks so nice. I think it is great! I hope I am caught up with comments here, if not in the gallery yet.
JaneB , I noticed you asked about the characters on the cake, my DD made those on my old Wishblade that sat unable to be used until the Silhouette software came along and worked with it. I had the Wishblade just a few months when the Windows update on a brand new computer my husband bought me, made it obsolete. It was an expensive doorstop until 5 or so years later when my DD took it back to CA with her and hooked it up to Silhouette software. She and her DD Sammie have really enjoyed it.

I'm not that amazing really. I can't do anything like this with proper paper and stuff; I tried and I'm abysmally bad at it. I can only do paper if I've first done it on the computer. I suppose I must concentrate but I don't think about it like that; although I do sit here in silence most days, can't abide unnecessary noise.
I did change my desktop fairly regularly, but the last one I made until these two was the day my Mum died last year; I rather lost the will after that. She'd have loved these though; she had one I made in 2012 on her old laptop, wouldn't let me change it
Yes, Halloween has umpteen layers too

nylene - I think I don't like it because it took me literally days to move it along off my work table. It sat there. I cheated on the fringe. I don't have fringe scissors and no way was I going to buy a pair. So I made a cut file on my handy-dandy silhouette. And - I finished it last night, then tore it apart and put it back together before work this morning.

Looking good linda - love the rounded corners on "reading", the colours and the title font! nylene - love the strips of colour and how they mimic the character colours in a muted way. gramma - love the swoopy hearts and the BIG scallop! msliz - love me some rainbow layout! Always, and great event to use one with. JaneB - left love in the gallery on the halloween desktop. And "yes" is gorgeous, adore the colours - it's your use of white space that is so perfect I think!

JaneB, I am so sorry for your loss. When my mom passed away I had a friend send a card that said, "The death of a mother is the first sorrow wept without her." So true. Mom has been gone for 10 years, but I think about her often. I know your mother would have loved your 2 desktops!!

JaneB your Halloween LO is fabulous! Love all the bits to look at. Your card is amazing too. I get hung up with last months challenges too and then realise I can't claim points for that.... dammit! It takes a while for the months to switch over in my head. I love the PL cards you used and the borders and your little cluster of embellishments is lush! msliz Carnival is lush! Love the colourful chevron paper and all the dots and stars, looks wonderful! gramma I don't know why you don't like that LO either, I think it's fab! Way to go on the fringing, I haven't even done my own challenge yet! I love the hearts and the big arrow! I love the Emotions LO, the brads and dots with the tickets and bright colours, it's awesome!

JaneB - I missed the story about your mum. I'm so sorry. The desktops are gorgeous and I hope they will make you think of her happily when you see them! justlisa7 - missed you, I'm sorry - I certainly didn't miss your layout however because I am loving all of these, how long did you agonize over "theme" choices before you started the album? The blue, the wood, the doilies - because you nailed it!!!
