I don't know if it makes me happier, but having lived through times when I wasn't sure how we were going to make it until the next paycheck without having to use the credit cards to get by, having money lessens the day to day stress.
I also like being able to help my children and grandchildren

Yes. Financial freedom makes you happy. It’s insanely amazing to not be constantly worried about the state of your finances every waking moment.

Yes. My Hubs retired the end of May and the loss of 4k of cash a month hurts. My plant budget has been sliced to zero. We rarely eat out anymore and I miss it.

I think when you really don't have enough for basic needs then money can help relieve you of some of the stress that can block happiness. Otherwise I don't think money can make you happy. You make you happy.

I'm in the Heck Yes! category. It would take so much pressure off us and allow us to do all the fun things we would love to do but just can't afford at the moment.
