LOVED that Darren Criss won for the Versace movie. He was awesome as Andrew Cunanan--so much so that I was severely creeped out for a while!!!!!!! He nailed it. Kudos to Ryan Murphy for making such a detailed movie. I'm glad that my love, Ricky Martin, was nominated, but he wasn't all that great. Still, seeing him warms my heart & seeing him congratulate Darren Criss' s/o when he won, was sheer kindness. He looked truly joyful that his castmate won!
I love that in the live comedy section, John Mulaney won. OMG, I adore him!!!!!! If you've never seen his stand-up, you should watch it on Netflix (or is it Showtime? Can't remember!). He's hilarious!

The whole Maya and Fred skit was just a huge waste of time. I hate how they always put in stupid skits like that yet force the winners to ridiculously short speeches. Funniest joke of the night, to me anyway, was "How did ER go on for 15 seasons without a single Filipino nurse?" I cracked up but I wondered if anyone who was not Filipino would undrstand that joke. I didn't get it, but I wondered if that was because I dont live in California

He's hilarious! He had his own tv show a few years ago and I was disappointed it was cancelled. He's just so calm and funny.

Its a predominant career for Filipino women. In my hometown of Charleston, most of the women in my mother's generation were nurses and their husbands were in the navy. In my generation it's not as prevalent but still a significant number of women I grew up with became nurses.

I know that he was a comedy writer for SNL and other shows........ I ADORE his skit about Bill Clinton! His timing is incredible!
P.S.: Glad I got to see Ricky Martin JUMP out of his chair when his series won! He's like a little kid! So joyous!!!!!!!!!!

Why would you call it a wedding proposal? I’ve never heard anyone say that before and it’s bizarre to me. You’re proposing marriage, not a wedding. You are correct. Marriage proposal. Wedding just popped in my head because of the mention of his mom's wedding ring. [ Who the heck cares?!! Wedding, marriage life.

I'm pretty white and I thought it was funny. But I work in hospitals and clinics with many many Filipinos so I thought that it was so spot on. I also liked the Reparations Emmys but was not sure if that was OK that I thought it was funny.

Loved the wins for Game of Thrones, West World and The Handmaid's Tale. It's harder for me to be able to watch shows outside of what's on the main networks in the USA and Canada. Just don't have the funds for it. Though it looks like there's a lot of good shows on right now.
I liked the announcement of names being done before the guests come out. You can't mess up anyone's name! I really liked the musical skit at the start. Realized that Ricky Martin was in it and didn't know he was currently on a show!
Was really hoping Jeffery Wright would win. I have only watched season 1 of West World but he is such an awesome actor. Then it took me awhile that were I have seen him before is in the Hunger Games more recently.

OntarioScrapper: Ricky Martin was in the mini-series about the murder of Gianni Versace. It was a gruesome and explicit series, to be fair-warned! I watched it because I adore Ricky + I admired Gianni Versace. This adaptation really was brutal, but it was excellent, IMO.

Oh and Thandie Newton from West World winning her Supporting Actress award was awesome. She was brilliant in Season 1 and I can't wait to see her in Season 2 (hoping for a good sale on Season 2 before Season 3 starts up).

Who proposed? I'm not able to watch right now.
Glenn Weiss, a director. Not the greatest quality, but here's a youtube clip of it:
Thank you!!

freecharlie Alex Borstein is hysterical. If you haven't watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, do! She has a fantastic role in that show.
