Hi girls! I didn't participate in the swap this year, but I just want to say that peas are THE BEST. Last year @gemini_jen sent me a Hanukkah card which totally warmed my heart. Well, she sent me another this year, arriving just in time for the holiday <3 Thank you so much Jen, you are incredibly thoughtful! Happy Holidays to you.... and all the card swappers

I think I got my first card making injury.
I stubbornly made my cards on coffee table in front of couch, a little hunched over sometimes.
I remember thinking it was uncomfortable and should go elsewhere but, stubborn me, I powered through.
I showed them!
and now I feel like I have a pinched nerve in same spot it was "just bothering me a bit" making cards.
It actually hurts now.
upon reflection, change "stubborn me" to "stupid me.
no sympathy asked for or required.
I kinda deserve it. Dumbass. (but ouch!)

I'll be fine I'm sure. I just find it funny that I was trying to remember what I had done to cause this, thinking of much more bad-ass ways it could have happened. It didn't occur until a twinge of pain happened while in the same spot I made the cards and "oh, yeah". such a disappointment. I guess bad-ass ain't my thing. No good story to tell. What happened to you? "Well, I was making Christmas cards and..." LOL

I'm behind schedule, but I finally finished all my cards last night so they will be going out tomorrow.
I've received about 20 already - I look forward to getting home each day to see any new cards that have arrived. Love this swap so much!

I sent out my international cards last week. Have been working hard making them but my brother unexpectedly passed away on 12/1. Super sad but making cards helps me cope. I am sending about 30 store bought cards-and I am continuing to work on cards I had elements colored, cut, etc but the going is slow. Mailing a bunch out today. I love receiving all of your cards- definitely brightens my days!

Y'all, I love you, *and* I'm playing the cancer card. All the cards were mailed on Saturday - international and domestic, but a) they were unimaginative (but heartfelt!) and b) signed with just our family name because they were all hand addressed and I forgot to include my pea name. Oh, also, c) sometimes my handwriting was kind of awful. Thank you for all the lovely cards - they are all over our house and we love getting them everyday. While sweet husband has been recovering from his surgery, getting our cards out was the best I could do - I wanted them all to be handmade, prettily addressed and arrive smelling like cinnamon. Alas, maybe next year. Merry Christmas peas, I do love the card exchange and was so happy to be back in this year.

I feel so bad. I originally was sending to all, but I have been in the hospital again, and only got like 25 sent off.
When I get out, I’ll send more off.

What ever you send is fine. This is for fun and not to be stressful. If you don't get what you want sent out this year, maybe next year. Please everyone don't stress about this.

I got about 60-70 cards out in the mail today. I'm still hoping to get more out before Christmas - will do the best I can!
I'm loving all the cards I've gotten so far (around 20 or so)!

I finally got the last of my personal cards done and the ones I make for my grandparents. Had a super productive evening tonight and was able to finish all of those up plus get my international cards addressed and stuffed. They'll go in the mail tomorrow. I hope to get the rest addressed yet this week. So here's my funny story for the evening. Last year I really admired all the fancy return address labels on everyones cards, and so when someone posted a link to a sale on labels after Christmas i jumped on that and ordered a couple sets. Fast forward to tonight as I'm starting to address the cards and realize that I didn't have any return address labels. I don't have a working printer right now, so I figured I would get everything else done and then be able to print the labels tomorrow at work and drop in the mail. Not ideal, but I was gonna roll with it. Then as I dug out the notebook that has my family addresses in, I found the labels i bought last year. All tucked away and waiting for me. Big face palm moment... That's why I didn't print return address labels when I printed the pea labels like I normally do. So glad I found them before I had printed the others P.S. - I absolutely love all the wonderful cards that I have received. It makes me happy to get my mail these days.
