This is my second year - I wised up and bought my stamps online vs going multiple times to the post office. My kids loved opening the cards, their fave was the card that included the "resist screen transfer", from Star Wars, its still on our kitchen door. I made a page using the state map that Marie used in her travel album (see link below) and colored in the states we received cards from. stitchintime.typepad.com/stitch_in_time/2014/06/travel-album-alaska.htmlI have it in PDF format for 6 by 8 if anyone would like me to send, just send me a message Happy crafting!

Thank you everyone who helps make this a super duper card exchange! I very much appreciate each and every one of you.
I have 104 cards made, signed, enveloped and return addressed. I see I have to make 18 more! To those of you who get a less than stellar card from me, I apologize. I remade as many as I could, but I'm getting low on supplies. I want to try to send one to everyone who signs up!
I'm so excited, I love the exchange.

I'm all signed up! I've been a member here for over a year, but, as you can tell by my post count, I mostly lurk. LOL This will be my first holiday card swap and I'm really looking forward to it! Who knows, I might even actually start posting.

Well damn. Canada Post may go on strike this Monday. Ugh. Hopefully not for long if they do. Hopefully they don't keep threatening and do it right before Christmas. Cause that is never fun. Better get to making those suckers so I can send them out when I think it's safe!

Plenty of people (including me) send store bought. I love every card I receive. Same. I was going to make mine this year at a print making workshop and it’s been cancelled. I did pick up international stamps at the post office yesterday. The pack of forever stamps I bought for last yesr’s swap at Costco are still hiding.

That is a nice number of sign-ups! I'm planning on making as many as I can (will buy cute store bought if I can't make the whole number). I have my design in mind and ordered a stencil and some bird dies yesterday I needed. Hoping it looks as good on paper as in my mind. ha-ha Happy mailboxes everyone!!!!!

I am looking forward to this! Me too! Thanks for the push I remember that the hardest part last year was second-guessing which card to give which person (trying to guess what they'd like/not like based on almost no information - at least for the folks I knew a little bit) so this year I'm going to try to make them all one design, specifically for this swap. (Last year I had about 250 cards made and I was choosing which to send for Peas, which to donate, which to send to family and friends... it was nuts ). So now I just have to commit to a design. More decision now, less decision later. Let's do this thing!

I'm so excited! I wasn't going to make my cards this year but I bought some new cute dies and a new Anna Griffin die cut machine, so I think I may make my cards this year. If I run out of time, I'll get some store bought cards.
I love getting everyone's card in December, it makes my day.
I try to have my international cards ready the day after Thanksgiving. I like to mail out all the cards by December 1st.
Thanks again for setting the card swap!

I’m so excited. I’m going to start working on my cards this Wednesday. I signed up a few years ago then wound up having surgery right before Christmas. I thought I’d be able to make some cards while I recuperated but I mostly slept and only got a few out. I’m so happy to get to give it another go

The "plan" is to get some cards done each night. I have 132 for the swap, 13 for YDD teachers, 25 for PTA, 54 for friends and family and 48 for hubby's divison. I cut down the friends and family to the ones we are really close to. So 272 by Thanksgiving. I will start hopefully this weekend. So that 26 days, so about 11 a day. That's in my mind is more manageable when I break it down. It is alot of work but I love seeing the smiles and knowing how much that little card made people smile.

Please read!
If you signed up for the card swap you will be sent the list to the email you used to register. Because we want to respect the privacy of all, we are not opening up access to the whole document. As those email requests come in, It's too difficult to cross reference if you registered as a swap member. While unlikely that someone random just finds the document out in google, we are not opening access by request. The list will only be sent to your email that you used to sign up. Once the swap closes you will be sent the addresses (to the email registered) in both an excel document to make your own labels and a PDF using standard size mailing labels (Avery 5160).

I'm so very excited! I send out cards every year to friends and family- some years homemade, other years store bought. Rarely do I receive more than 3 a year. I remember the way my grandma used to do her Christmas cards around her interior doorway. There is just something very very special about Christmas cards I look forward to celebrating with all of you!
