Hey everyone, after the success of Sketchtember (thank you again stinkerbelle , you have the best ideas for challenges!) we decided to do a sketch every Saturday and call it Sketchy Saturday! I am really hoping that we get volunteers to keep this going week to week. All you have to do is pick a sketch and post it on a Saturday. If you don't want to post it yourself, I will happily post it on your behalf. I would love for people who haven't been challenge hosts to have a go at setting one and try and get everyone involved. So please don't be shy, if you would like to have a turn at picking a sketch for Sketchy Saturday then say so on this thread and I'll pick someone for next week and hopefully we can just keep going from there. If we don't get volunteers, you'll end up with me picking sketches all the time and look what I picked this week, do you want that every Saturday? Hahaha!  So here's sketch #1, picked by me!  I hope to have a bash at this over the weekend and get the mixed media out for a play. Team players, 1 point for doing the sketch grammadee, could you add this to the challenge list please. |

I really liked Sketchtember, and even though I didn't get a chance to do them all in September, I printed them off and am slowly doing them now! I find a sketch is a really great way to get started on a layout. Thanks for doing this! I'd like to try hosting one but am not sure of the rules. kiwigirl Are we allowed to "grab" a sketch somewhere and post it? I have two decks of the PageMaps sketch cards and can post one of those one Saturday, but I'm concerned about copyright laws and all that. |

I love sketches, so I'd really like to take a turn at picking one at some stage. I LOVE this week's sketch kiwigirl ! (Except it's a bit small  ) Do we post our LO's on this thread or the other sharing thread? I have two decks of the PageMaps sketch cards and can post one of those one Saturday, but I'm concerned about copyright laws and all that. Haha I also have 2 decks of PageMaps sketch cards (as well as some PageMaps digital sketches). |

Sorry, it is small AussieMeg, I was trying to make it bigger and failed! I'll have another go. I usually photograph the sketch on my phone and take that to my craft room to copy so I can make it bigger on there but that doesn't help other people does it! Post your LO in here or in the October Sharing thread, wherever you like  I'm still trying to get my butt into my craft room to try this, it's nearly 3pm and I haven't got there yet! |

You think ok, add a doily, oh, not everyone had doilies, ok, add ink, oh, not everyone is going to have ink, use a diecut, oh wait, and it goes on and on like that. So thinking them to try and keep everyone included is hard! AussieMeg I can't even read where this sketch is from to try and find a larger version sorry. I've googled and can't find it sorry! |

Thanks kiwigirl! It feels like we are all missing the excitement of Sketchtember. This is awesome! I think as long as the sketch is free you are ok to post it. I'm not sure about sketches from books, that may be where the copyright problems could come in. But I'm not certain on that. |

MDscrapaholic since the sketches on the cards come from a book for purchase, i'd stick with the free online pagemaps sketches if it were me. probably not an issue, because becky fleck probably isn't lurking around here, but someone with her ear may be jeremysgirl whoa girl, you're quick! i LOVE your take on the sketch! so clever to use the stickers for the mixed media shown on the sketch! and kudos to you for scrapping a sports page; i really hate doing them and am thankful my kids weren't in too many during school

I LOVE it stinkerbelle! I love the fringing and the super cool background, I love that you've stamped letters on there, so cool. I love those whitchy legs and boots and that cool button with the ribbon, awesome stuff! I love the title and of course the fabulous photo! |

Ok, I have struggled with this one. I freaking love that sketch, I love all the little bits and bobs on it (especially since sleepingbooty found a bigger one and I can actually see them all!). I did my background the other day using Lindy's Magicals. Then I messed it up trying to add some black paint. So I made another one! Then I was umming and ahhing and being the queen of procrastination so I decided this afternoon to just bloody well do it! So I did. I don't feel I've done this sketch justice, I may have another crack at it. But I was way overthinking this one and needed to just do it and be done! kiwigirl it was worth all the hassle, it's freaking gorgeous!! that background  love the b/w frame, the stitching, the title, the florals, the frames, all the teeny bits and you looking really thin! that dotted camera is adorable too

kiwigirl , that is GORGEOUS!!! Love all those happy colours and the stencilled bits! Did you use some embossing there as well? Looks like it has so much dimension! And BTW, your smile is gorgeous too! I have the sketch printed and will give it a go tomorrow. (Or maybe play around with the background tomorrow and then slap the photos and the rest on it on Wednesday) But it is on my TO DO list for this week, along with Chinagirl828's Stash and Bonus challenges, and KikiPea's monthly stash/scraplift challenges. Dh is leaving soon (is it rude to push him out the door with a grin on my face?) for a 3 day trip, and I plan to PLAY!
