The $5 shipping has already kicked in. Crafters Companion has been getting a lot of my money lately but I am having so much fun trying new things. The how-to videos are quite good. I think they must be doing a lot more crafty things in England than the USA.

I'll have to set my DVR! I never buy anything but love watching the shows (except for Anna Griffin).

I have two crafty things in my cart and I'm being charged shipping for both. Weird. I'll try again tomorrow.

I’m glad I’m working in the office tomorrow!! I’m trying really hard to downsize my stash so we can make my room dual purpose. So no shopping, just creating for me

I “may” have bought the Anna Griffin Empress machine already. Looking forward to seeing what else will be on.

Darn it! I taped it but went to bed before the final hour. I do like those dies.

I really do like my Diamond Press...and I agree those dies are really nice...but I had already spent too much earlier so I was tough on myself.

I am dying to know how you like it - please please please come back and post a review when you get it! I wonder how it compares to the Gemini (which looks sooooo impressive when Sara Davies demos it). I do not need a die cut machine. I have my Big Shot and don't have arthritis in my hands. But then AG came out with those jacket dies - they are so beautiful, it made me want to buy a machine big enough to accommodate them.

Diamond Press Holiday Faith Sentiment Die Set: I like these too, but couldn't figure out why they were so large on the board, but were smaller in order to fit in that tiny machine. They were a great price though.

I’m wondering what company makes the Empress die cut machine. I know Anna Griffin’s name is on a couple of Provo Craft machines so maybe it’s them?

I wondered the same thing about the size...but I found out they did the same size inflation for some crafters Companion word dies.

I am very happy with Gemini. I got it on amazon for $154. My only real complaint is that the plastic plates buckle and get distorted. I have the large Gemini but bought some of the junior plates for most applications as they are just less bulky...but one of my plastic plates has cracked way too easily...but it still works.

I’m wondering what company makes the Empress die cut machine. I know Anna Griffin’s name is on a couple of Provo Craft machines so maybe it’s them? It's not Provo Craft. Anna said that she approached Provo Craft first but they were not interested in expanding their die cutting machines and gave her their blessing to go ahead to produce her own. I don't know who she got to produce the machine, but she said it was a two year process to develop it. I think Provo Craft was very short-sighted and put all their eggs into the Maker basket. As great as the Cricut is, it doesn't emboss. I like to think that my arms are pretty strong, but I can't get the intricate dies through my Cuttlebug. As soon as the machine starts to struggle, the suction that is supposed to hold it to the table releases. It is very frustrating. I am looking forward to receiving my Empress.

It was the intricate dies from Crafters Companion that forced me to get the Gemini...my Cuttlebug couldn’t handle them no matter what I tried. It went to the thrift store. Don’t miss it at all. It will be interesting to see what company you deal with if the Empress has a problem...whether it’s Anna G. Or the manufacturer.

But then AG came out with those jacket dies - they are so beautiful, it made me want to buy a machine big enough to accommodate them. I just got it yesterday. It is awesome. It cut and embossed everything very easily. It embossed much deeper than any machine I have ever used before. It worked great on other companies dies too. I tried it with some Lawn Fawn dies, and some Crafter’s Companions ones too. The only thing I could not get to work was a 3D embossing folder from Crafter’s Companion. It was too thick and would not go through. I have a Gemini Jr., but I like this much better. The Empress has sturdier plates, and the magnetic platform is nice and thick as is the embossing mat and magnetic shim. This is really similar to the Cuttlebug plates, and I find it much easier. Very glad I bought it. Still waiting on the rest of my order, including the larger plates and the jacket dies.

garagesaler Oooooooh, you got those jacket dies?! Please come back and review those, too! You will be my official AG tester. Interesting that the Empress didn't want to take the CC 3D folders. I guess you could do those in your Gemini, though. Oh, man, I do not NEED an Empress. Why do I WANT one??? Good to hear that it works well. ...Those jacket dies, though. Hm.

I ordered three things on the HSN craft day (Precision Press bundle, the Field Notes collection pack, and the American Crafts embellishments) and none of them have shipped yet. HSN is usually pretty quick. Has anyone else received a shipping notice yet?

I haven't received a shipping notice yet. I'm wondering if I'm going to be put on the back order list. I hope not. They are famous for doing this especially with cc

A number of people who are on a FB group for Anna Griffin fans have reported issues with delays while others who ordered at the same time have already received their items. I ordered four items on Monday (including the Empress) and the order status has said "packaging" with an estimated delivery date of 10/18. I just checked for the nth time and it now says shipped!
