My scrappy strength is....that I believe there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. To each, their own. Don't worry about the latest trend or what someone else is doing. Fill your scrapbook pages with whatever you like. Use the items, products, colors, styles, etc... that you like. This is so true. A lot of people think there are rules. There are no rules in scrapbooking.

Once I get started I can crank out pages pretty quickly (45-60 minutes per page). I do like the pages I spend more time on better though...

i would agree that i am very good at shopping. but i'm probably best at not stressing about the small stuff. i can't be bothered to put pages in any sort of order, i don't have matching albums or separate albums for separate people or subjects, i don't scrap in any sort of order, i don't care that i embellish too much and make some really ugly-ass pages sometimes, i don't care if it's trendy or cool as long as i like it, etc. etc. etc. i just do me and if that's not to everyone's taste, i accept that.
i read threads and just shake my head sometimes at what people put themselves through, all because the album color has been discontinued or the "next" set of photos is uninspiring or whatever. scrapbooking should not induce stroke or heart attack!

I have a few of them I think! I do order photos really quickly as well. I scrap quickly with a goal to have completed pages and as a result have lots of albums to enjoy.
I also have a nice stash of various supplies to scrap almost any theme so I don't have to postpone a layout for the right supplies.

There are no rules in scrapbooking. I think there are a few depending on your goals. Like if you are using original photos that can't be copied, don't hack them up. I really feel that people do regret that kind of thing.

I'm very organized and take great notes for journaling later. For example, I have two trips to Spain from 2008/2010 that I haven't touched yet, but I have several pages of journaling that I typed up immediately after I returned so that I wouldn't lose the details later. I would be in a world of hurt trying to recreate those memories now.

I do not second guess myself. I have a kit making process for individual kits (1-2 pages with specific pictures). I can quickly pull and put together kits. Sometimes I don't remember when I get to the kit what I had in mind but I go with what I packed. I don't always use everything because I kit heavy but I rarely (and I do mean rarely) change track or add to the kits when I am actually assembling the pages. I just use what I picked out and make it work.
And generally I love how the pages turn out, even if I started with, "what was I thinking when I pulled this?"
It totally allows me to do the max number of pages and I need that because I only actually "scrapbook" (not including kitting) two weekends a year.
I can say, I am always caught up or very nearly caught up at the end of each weekend.

Colors. I can scrap with the most unexpected combo and make it work. I find this to be true, too!

I really feel that people do regret that kind of thing. I guess it’s equally important to remember that if you do want to use original photos - do it. There is no right or wrong in this hobby, there are no rules! I think my strength is in staying grounded and keeping it manageable. I keep my stash minimal but refresh it regularly, I believe done is better than perfect, and I always have my ultimate goal in mind - recording mine and my fiancé’s life together. With that comes my super organised photos and my at home printing routine. I want to enjoy this hobby for as long as possible so I try to keep it easy for myself.

I guess it’s equally important to remember that if you do want to use original photos - do it. Haha! You and I will continue to dance battle with this one! Scrapbooking encompasses all kinds of paper arts. That's why it depends on your goals. Saying there are no rules to me is like knitting a sweater and just dropping stitches and cutting holes and doing whatever you want. You can do it, but if you want the end product to be a wearable piece of clothing, there are ways to do it. Yes, you can use original photos, but it depends on what kind of scrapbooking you are doing. Preservation Memory keeping and heritage scrapbooking with an eye to archival results does have different 'methods' than someone who is doing paper arts with a goal of creating with art processes. Every hobby has some rules. You can go play golf and just hit the ball willy nilly or throw it across the golf course, but that is not 'playing golf.' However, as always, people will do what they want and some will stand by there are no rules and others will disagree.

However, as always, people will do what they want and some will stand by there are no rules and others will disagree. I think the difference is that golf does have rules. Golf has to have rules to be a sport in which there are winners and losers. It’s not the same for scrapbooking, there is no competition or winners or losers here. I have seen so many people not want to get into any kind of art for fear of doing it wrong. It’s why I refuse to accept that there are rules to scrapbooking or art. Plenty of people who do do art, don’t want to share it incase they receive bad feedback/are scared to be seen of doing it wrong - and I think that is a real shame. If you want to knit a jumper with holes in, do it if it gets you knitting. If you want to memory keep but you only have original photos, or you want to use clashing colours together, who is anyone to tell you you’re doing it wrong? If you use original photos, yes you could regret it in the future by potentially destroying photos that cannot be restored. But it is not a rule of scrapbooking. It’s your memories, your memorabilia - do what you like.

I’m good at putting kits together, organizing my photos in terms of what should go together on a layout, creative page titles & funny journaling, just simply making it all work in a timely manner.

I'm good at cutting myself slack. When I struggle with a page, I let myself walk away from it and come back later (or not).
Scrapping is a joy. I never let it become a chore.

I stay current in my Project Life. I’m never more than 3 months behind. If I’m not feeling it or just want to get it done I go minimal. Pictures and basic journaling and move on. When I look back at old albums, I’m looking at the memories not the product. I’m only about the product while I’m creating.

I am a scraplifter, but I'm good at taking a sketch or a picture of a layout and making it work with my pictures and my stash. Sometimes the end result is really similar to the original and sometimes there's a vague resemblance and I am okay with both outcomes.

I’m kinda of a mess in general 😂 but my scrappy area is pretty well organized, I’m a really good bargain shopper, and I’m pretty good at mixing pp, it’s one of my favorite things to do.
