Her glass is always half full. I tend to find the silver lining and always pontificate about it. Quite a bit of rambling, but I try to look for the best in everybody and situation.

I know it sounds cliché...treat others how you want to be treated. I have always lived my life this way. It was the way my mom lived her life and she was the best person I have ever known.

Work to be worthy of luck.
I was born into a good life and have had lots of advantages along the way. That's all luck and has nothing to do with me. I work hard to be worthy of that luck. To turn it into positives for others who didn't have the same luck as me.

I don't know if this is the perfect one for me, but having just read it recently and having it resonate with me:
Life isn't easy. Life is good.

Am I the only one who gets freaked out by these kinds of exercises? I just can't sum things up like that. Bucket lists freak me out too, and "where do you want to be in five years?" I like what all y'all came up with--each one is thought-provoking. I can't really think of an overarching theme or plan for my life...I just take things as they come. There we go, there's mine: I take things as they come.

I mean well. I really do. Suffice it to say that things seldom work out the way I intend for them to.

How about 8 words? Will that work? Good.
"I think I can. I think I can..."
If not... "Jesus loves me, this I know." The stories that go along with do not exactly fit in with typical church doctrines, but hey, this is my story, not their's.

Mine is a verse and 8 words. Be still and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10 Just like many, the loss of someone put life in perspective for me. My mom died from cancer, 28 days from diagnosis to passing at the age of 58. It was the most difficult, painful time in our lives. Out of her passing, I became stronger. I got out of a controlling marriage and became very self-confident. Many times in my life, however, I just need to be still and let God do what He is doing. I have to give my stress and worry to Him. And He does not let me down. That's it. I'm changing the assignment. 8 words. You have to say it in 8 words, not 6. (Love your answer!) I must like it. I posted it twice. See? 8 words works perfectly.

Happiness is found on many paths.
I'm on my fourth career, each different from the other. Life hasn't always worked out the way I thought it would, but I've found happiness throughout the many twists and turns.

Mine should probably be: Life is short, eat dessert first.
But it could also be: Life is sweet. Eat the cookie. (donut, cake, cupcake, ice cream, candy, etc.)

I mean well. I really do. Suffice it to say that things seldom work out the way I intend for them to. just wanted to say that i LOVE your user name! Thank you! Several years ago someone started a thread asking everyone to explain the significance of their user name and user pic. I can’t remember which pea it was, but after I posted my answer, someone admitted they’d been reading as “my.UNIQUE.mind” instead of my.UNQUIET.mind” for years! It was actually a pretty interesting thread. Many of us discovered that we hadn’t ever really looked at people’s user pics very closely, and as a result, we were totally off when it came to what we thought some of them were. I can’t remember any specific ones off the top of my head, but it was pretty crazy to find out that the picture I had always thought was x was actually y!

Mine would be: much too fast, much too slow.
Because I'm either one or the other and I never seem to be able to move at a steady pace.

"Things I worry about don't happen."
Unfortunately, there is a second part to that, though. "Things out of left field do"
