I'm already starting to think about the holidays and want to try some new appetizers. Problem is I only have 1 oven, so I either need to make them ahead or have them be cold. What are your faves that everyone loves? Thanks!

For the holidays, I usually do a large charcuterie board with a little bit of everything on it: meats like proscuitto, assorted cheeses, nuts, olives, jam/savory spreads, crackers or baguette slices, fruit, dark chocolate or dark chocolate covered fruit etc. Pinterest is loaded with ideas. Last year I included a chunk of brie and a jar of garlic onion jam from Trader Joes and really good crackers I found at the deli and those things disappeared so fast!

Cheeseburger Meatball SkewersIf there are kids/teens involved, this one is a hit. I've served it at room temp and it still gets snapped up. For a party, I'll prep everything ahead of time so that all I need to do is heat the meatballs and then assemble. I don't assemble the skewer items ahead of time, but will have a bowl of halved cherry tomatoes, squares of lettuce, bacon, and cheese (I leave off the pickle, as some people have VERY strong opinions about pickles.) If you have it prepped ahead, assembly for a bag of meatballs is about 15 minutes.

Crostini. There are sweet ones, savory ones...they are quick and not hard at all.

Mini Meatballs, made with Grape jelly and BBQ sauce or chilli sauce. I sometimes add a can of crushed or cubed pineapple. Made in a crockpot.
Edited to add....You should get a triple slow cooker/crock pot. Then you could serve three different items in it.

Olive tapenade is our new favourite! Black olives, lemon juice, garlic, a little bit of capers & parsley (although I usually don't have those so I skip the capers/parsley) into the food processor and done!
I could sit and eat it with a spoon.

Last year I tried a new recipe at a couple parties and they were a hit.
I tried to link but I’m on my phone and it’s not cooperating.
They’re called cranberry Brie bites. It’s a little tart made in a mini muffin pan. A crescent roll crust, Brie, diced pecan, dollop of cranberry sauce, and topped with a sprig of rosemary.
They’re pretty, look fancy, and super tasty. You should have no trouble finding it on Pinterest if you want to give it a try.
My other go to are sausage won tons. Another use of the mini muffin pan. Wonton wrappers for crust, sausage, ranch & cheese. Huge hit and always all gone. (Also can easily find this on Pinterest)

My DH hates olives (something I did not pre-screen before we got married) and passed his distaste onto our kids. I rarely get stuff with olives in it as I'm the only one who will eat it.

These are always a huge hit whenever I make them: Antipasti BitesThe salami cups can be made ahead, then you just need to put the fillings in just before serving. They are served cold. I usually put sundried tomatoes, basil and fet or goat's cheese in them, but you can put whatever kind of fillings you like. Mine are usually smaller than the ones shown.

I host book club every month and I'm lazy so my contributions are always comes pre-made Bruschetta from the deli with sliced baguettes Shrimp with cocktail sauce Brie (from Costco!) with melba rounds Look for frozen fun stuff ... my local grocery store has these cool shrimp that are breaded and put on sticks and called shrimp "lollipops" Veggies with ranch dip It seriously doesn't need to be fancy to make people happy ... just put it on a nice plate and you are good to go
