Ladies, thank you all for responding decently. I love that we can disagree, discuss and well speak frankly. What I can't stand is when it gets ugly. Keep the conversation going, I'm turning my phone off....need some rest. The past 24 hours has been hell and it's going to be worse. I'm not posting and ignoring just sleeping.Talk to y'all tomorrow. Enjoy your night.
I will say if your rude/hateful, I will block and not respond.

I absolutely agree we have to rally against the criminals. All criminals and that means bad cops too. Some are cold blooded murderers. It’s great that your husbands department doesn’t let bad cops hide behind a wall of blue but a lot of other departments across the country do. But most of the time the bad cops are protected and that’s what we’re mad as hell about. I’m sure you worry about your husband but I also worry about my son. Difference is your husband can change careers. My son can’t change his skin. Edit for spelling. Again, yes he can change his job but where would someone like your son be when all the decent, educated, well trained LEO'S leave the profession. Think about that....sorry but for every 1 bad apple there are 1000's of LEO'S that are amazing. Before we villanze a whole group,we should think. Not directed at you but people need to stop and think before they villanze a whole group. People here aren’t saying all cops are bad. I know my nephew wasn’t a bad cop. He loved being a cop. He just had to leave because the pay was lousy. I’ve always said if I ran the country, cops and teachers pay would triple. My best friends husband is a wonderful cop. A very warm and compassionate guy. In my husbands profession he deals with a lot of police officers and some have become friends. Great guys but it only takes that one bad apple to end my world and that’s what scares me to death. Should we be afraid to call out that one bad apple?

My gynecologist is a black man in a small southern town. Some years ago, he stopped late one night to get a blended ice cream/candy dessert from Sonic. After first driving off, he pulled over in a parking lot to eat it thinking that was safer. An officer driving by found it suspicious and questioned his ownership of the luxury car and what he was doing "in that neighborhood." Had he been a white man sitting in his car eating ice cream, I have no doubt the officer would have smiled and waved as he drove right past. I believe it. My best friend (she’s white) married a black man (very dark skin). He is a financial planner (and like the greatest guy on the planet. Seriously a parent’s dream for who your kid should marry in every single way). He does very well in his career. When they first married, they had a Jag. My best friend told me so many times how they/he would get pulled over for nothing. The best she could come up with was her husband is black and driving an expensive car, and apparently in FL this is highly suspicious to police officers. I hate that they (and anyone else) have to deal with this bullshit on a daily basis.
