What a fun thing to do, decorate with those big life size skeletons. Give the card! Or a nice bottle of wine.

I think that's a brilliant idea. In lieu of a gift card I'd also be tempted to let them know that you want to participate and team up w/them. Maybe it'll become an entire neighborhood thing.

If I were your neighbors I would be thrilled to receive something from you in appreciation of my Halloween decorating efforts. I think a gift card would be an unexpected surprise and perfect. Very thoughtful of you!

Not weird at all ! I would consider it an honor that you took the time and energy to let me know what my decorations meant to you. Simple card or gift card would mean the world to me.
A couple of times, I’ve had families stop and ask if it was alright to take pictures in my Halloween porch display. I was always very appreciative of the compliment.

I'm with Furry P. Anymore, it seems like everyone drinks wine (and frequently), but as someone with a loved one who is an alcoholic, I think it's much more considerate to give the gift card and let them purchase what they like. And by the way, I LOVE the idea to thank your neighbors and give them the gift card. Very sweet of you!

Do it. I used to drive by a fabulous garden near my office. I always thought I should send the owner a note of appreciation, but never did. I still regret that.

I think it's a nice and very thoughtful gesture. I'm sure they'd appreciate not only the gift card but knowing that someone is enjoying their display.

Can’t wait for the update to this. So fun to get to see what the skeletons are up to!
We have a big, inflatable pumpkin. We bought it the year we moved back to the U.S, and I’ve not seen one it’s size and not scary since. It’s looking fairly worn, light orange and sun faded. I commented last year that I thought it was on its last leg. Until a family came by trick or treating and told us the kids wait every year for that pumpkin to go up, they live a street over but the back of their house faces the front of ours. So up it went again this year, and will till the fabric tears, cause that big old happy pumpkin makes so many kids happy.
So I would obviously encourage you to do what you’re doing. And I’m definitely tucking this idea away in case I ever live on a street that gets traffic, I’m in the back of a subdivision on a cul de sac.

I think it's perfect. It lets them know you appreciate their work all month long, but also lets them decide how they would best utilize your gift.

dillydally .....What did you end up doing? 😀 Ohhhh, and do you have any piks of the fun skeletons. ? 👻😆🎃 Oops, forgot to come back!
I had remembered that I saw a cute dog skeleton so I headed out to buy it and sneak it onto their lawn. On my way out of the neighborhood, I noticed that the skeletons were having a lovely picnic. I couldn't find the cute dog, so instead I bought a bottle of wine and 2 silly Halloween cups. I put that, along with the card/gift card, on the basket so that they would find them when they came out to move them. I did it anonymously - I was going to sign with our names and then thought it would be more fun to have it a mystery.
Next year I am going to buy the dog skeleton early and put a note that he is free to a good home.
I think I have a photo, but I have no idea how to post photos and I'm checking in while on break at work, so no time to try to figure it out. I will try to remember to come back and figure it out to post
