Hi melissa, thank you for your advice. I noticed a few years ago apples sometimes upset my stomach, and a co-worker told me about fructose malabsorption. I read about it again... I don’t think most of the suspect foods bother me, other than apples and I think all of those fake sweetness that end in -ol. I’m going to go over the foods to avoid again and work on feeling better while working through appointments and stuff. Thanks again — it was a good reminder to consider some other possible issues too.

Lab work and tests, like others had mentioned. Stones? Hernias.. sometimes just to rule those things out? Especially if you're feeling really crappy. Yes diet affects that but whe you don't feel good you don't feel like eating right too. It's hard. have you had lab work done? The puking is concerning, Are you running fevers? Is it sudden or gradually naseauted? A GI will be your friend, but if you're throwing up like that with no relief, maybe a trip to check things out ... Yes, lots of lab work has been done and I have upcoming appointments booked already to monitor some things. I think I had some slight fever the few times I had particularly bad vomiting. So far it’s always pretty sudden-onset... like Monday I was sick twice with maybe 20 seconds notice? And violent. A couple times waking up in the night, not making it much out of bed. Fortunately if I avoid gluten that seems to stop. And has just been going on for a few weeks. Both severe episodes were the day after eating pasta. I have several appointments and tests coming up, and mostly focusing on not being anemic (hello iron soup and blood pudding).
