Has anyone read the new John Boyne book A Ladder to the Sky yet? Mine was just delivered this morning and I’m dying to start it. I love his work! My pile of unread books is getting huge. I can’t keep up! I ordered it from BOTM but it seems to be going as slowly as possible to get to me! I can't wait to read it!

I’m halfway through My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. To say I LIKE it or I’m ENJOYING it would be wrong, but it’s still somehow compelling. This book. It's so intense, but I thought it was extremely well-written. It's my sister's favorite book of the year. Lisa Ok, I read some more yesterday and it’s getting REALLY good! Yes, intense is the perfect word to describe it.

I can’t keep up! I’m on hold for it at the library. But if it’s as good as The Heart’s Invisible Furies, I will read it. So get on with it and give us that review. Lol

I read Kill the Queen by Jennifer Estep. I like her books. This is the start of a new series, if you like fantasy this is a good one. Currently reading The wanted by Robert Crais. So far, so good. Also read Ilona Andrews new novella, also a good one! Been having good luck with my books this week, went through a recent dry spell where nothing could hold my attention.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

I read Who Do You Love by Jennifer Weiner. I liked the book and will definitely seek out more books by her to read. I love her. I met her once at the Brooklyn book festival and totally fan girl sobbed; I've been reading her books since the first one she wrote. She was so gracious and sweet. She wrote the nicest inscription in my book that I will always treasure.

I literally just finished Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter. The book was written in the present with flashbacks to a period 30 years ago. At first I had a little trouble keeping the names straight but overall I liked the book.
Next up is either Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew Sullivan or Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman. If you have read both books, or even just one of them, would either be recommended for DH?

Such an interesting story and loved the characters, fast read for me. Ending was a surprise for me. I started reading Something in the Water months ago and still can't finish it. The main character is very annoying.
