This is also a really good idea. He cannot wait until he is 18 and he can invest some of his hard earned money in stocks. Thank you, I can't believe I didn't think of that

I'm kinda stumped as to what to get my 17, almost 18yo ds for christmas. He's a bit of a nerdy kid. He doesn't give a rats ass about brand name clothes or shoes or anything. Isn't particularly into music. He games and has a nintendo switch and an xbox, but he works 2 jobs after school and usually goes and buys the games he likes. He is not into sports of any kind. He likes dinosaurs (or better said, the jurassic park movies), and batman comics, but I got him some vintage comic books last year and although that was a big hit, I don't want to repeat it, kwim?
So far, I got him a collectable spinosaurus toy from the 'Jurassic world' movie, which I know he loves (he pointed it out to be on ebay; but that also means it's not a suprise anymore ). Also, I got him a 70 million year old real spinosaurus tooth at a fossil shop - totally cool
But, what else? Any ideas for geeky teen boys?
Didnt read all of the replies... BUT here is my suggestion. Sounds like he is really into dinos. Not sure where you live, but most summers in our state ( KS) You can find archaeological digs. See if you can find him one. A lot of them are open to the public to help. You just have to buy the "ticket" and attend the training. My daughter was in a Geoscience Program in highschool and there were a few boys that went on these digs and LOVED every min of them! Here, I found this website, You might start here. Archaeological dig info.
