If you like to polish your nails, what color are you wearing or do you plan to wear? I am trying to get motivated to paint my nails, and hearing what you all are putting on your nails inspires me to do it! I actually have several colors on my nails as I am trying to decide on a nice Christmas red.
The past few years I have had a lot of trouble painting my nails because of my bad eyesight for things up close. Reading glasses don't really help, and my nails look like a toddler painted them! I really miss painting my nails weekly and using all my pretty colors! Any suggestions (besides getting them done at a salon - not in the budget )?

Ha ! Color Street nail thingys. You know ~ ones like trollie sells. I love them. Although I always get a pedicure, it’s been years since I had my nails done. They just never lasted, too expensive, etc. A co worker is selling these and I got some pink glitter ones. Very easy to apply and they last about 10 days for me. I get a ton of compliments on them. 💕

I put new color on my toes and fingers last night. It's a grayish lavender called "Elegantly Wasted" by a brand named Trust Fund Beauty. I'm 99% sure I got it in a subscription box. While it's pretty in the bottle, I don't really like it on me. It's the same color as my varicose veins on the backs of my hands. Lol. I'll re-do before our holiday party Friday night.

I just removed OPI My Private Jet (a favorite), and I’m also feeling in the mood for red. I’m thinking Essie Lollipop or Zoya Demetria.
ETA: I’m also a sad, blind lady with some reading glasses. ☺️ The only thing that helps me is to paint my nails in a spot with a lot of bright, natural light. Right next to a window or on my back porch.

I am going to do my nails tonight. Probably CND field fox or OPI taupeless beach.

Not sure what the name of the color is, but it's a Tiffany blue with some glitter on top. We're heading to WDW next week when our DD and two grands get here - my nails remind me of Cinderella's Castle in the winter. Pretty sure my DGD (5 y/o) will want hers the same.

Search "magnifying glass with light", some nail gals I know are using these. You can get desktop stand ones or floor ones. Getting older is so annoying! I have to do mine with my glasses off and my contacts out to see up close.
I'm wearing Stella Chroma brand but can't remember the name due to recent shopping sprees of indie polishes! I think I've bought 50 in the past 2 months. I need to wear them all before buying more...but that probably won't happen. Lol

So it's different than a magnifying make up mirror? Maybe something like what people use for sewing?
I also paint my nails with my contacts out, and it works okay for my fingernails, but I am not so flexible anymore, so it's still hard to paint my toes! My daughters don't mind occasionally painting my fingernails for me, but they don't paint any toes but their own! I am guilty of buying too many bottles of nail polish too! One of the peas recommended Essie After School Boy Blazer and I had to get it the next day! And it's been almost a year and I haven't used it!

Sally Hansen "plum's the word". A medium-dark brown with a plum undertone, almost a raisin color but a little bit lighter. It's a nice neutral shade for fall and winter. I used the Sally Hansen miracle gel topcoat to give it that thick glossy gel manicure look. If it lasts to the weekend I'll put some random gold foil flecks over it for fun, maybe matte it all out.

China Glaze Baroque Jungle. It's a dark green with a little teal in it. I think it looks Christmasy.

Blood Type Holocaust by Ruby White Tips. It's a really pretty shimmery opal-ish color with no sparkle.

I went to the salon a couple of days ago intending to get a shimmery berry color, but got distracted by the glitter options and came out with this!

I’m one of the few that have long acrylic nails. My girls does colored acrylic every time so I just go in and pick one or three (it doesn’t matter), like you would a nail polish color. I used to be a nail tech and I cannot function without long nails. I’d post a pic but I don’t know how. But right now I have white, pink and a bright green on with a couple Christmasy designs. I get them done on the 14th so I’ll have to think up some ideas.

I love it although it’s more navy, less dark grey than it looked in the shop - hey ho! I’m at work now but will try and remember to tell you when I get home and have a look 🙂

I can't decide whether to do my toes with this
or this (the glitter is putting me off a bit, it's a bitch to remove!)

I just had a mani Tuesday, it's OPIs Envy the Adventure from the Nutcracker collection.. *not my fingers in pic* lol Hope the magnifying glass and light works for you. That's a good suggestion. My manicurist has this one on her table for when she's doing design work. Magnifying Light
